I think I drink a lot of water and I don't notice that it does anything to help my skin.  However, if I have a day that I don't seem to drink as much, I don't feel good.  I feel more tired, sluggish and kind of ---- ick!

Water literally makes me sick to my stomach first thing in the morning.

@monicakmThat used to happen to me, too. Somewhere along the way, though, I'm well over that. Also, green tea, and I'm well over that as well.

Still do not know what it may have been from.

But years ago, I began a regime of drinking H2O first thing in the morning. I had read about water therapy, where that was all doctors had to treat aches & pains. I believe in flushing out the toxins (you do that with sweating, also), but staying hydrated throughout the day for overall better functioning.

8 glass?! No, but water first thing and green tea throughout the day. My skin is definitely hydrated and I do not need lotions to compensate for any dryness.

@SurferWife & @Harpa  Same start to the day for me.  I have a glass of warm lemon water first thing every morning, before anything else.

The natural ceramides in our skin make up about 50% of the outer layer. Ceramides help prevent water loss (among other things). With age ceramide levels drop which means skin gets dry easier and faster. You can apply topical ceramides and/or you can take supplements to help replenish ceramides in your skin from within. Phytoceramides are plant-based ceramides that will help your skin retain its water. You'll experience using less lotion and your skin will look better, too.

ETA-

Jojoba oil contains a lot of phytoceramides.

I don't know.  They say water benefits every organ in the body and our skin is our largest organ.  Try to a lot more water and see if you notice anything.  I've been drinking about 100oz a day for many years.

I was never a big water drinker, and was told to drink more because you can form crystals in your urine if you don't.  I found HINT water and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!  I never liked flavored waters previously because most of them taste like chemicals or just so artificial to me.  Not HINT.... it is as the name says,  it has a very slight hint of the flavor, and is so natural and delicious.  There is nothing artificial at all about it.  I drink several bottles of it a day.   Sam's club sells a palette with 3 flavors and then I wait for sales at my local stores for different flavors.  HIGHLY RECOMMEND.  I have favorites,  but they are all delicious.

NYC1....Thank you for the HINT tip.  I will be trying it.  I love drinking water and like putting stevia in it for a little sweetness.

I'm sure it helps me to drink plenty of water.

@kindred cats Try drinking it without anything in it.  The flavor is very subtle but very natural. The ingredients are purified water and natural flavors.  I've tried so many and this is hands down the very best by far.  I hope you like it as much as I do.
