@happycat, I don't think 60 is old either, but age is relative.  When you were 20 you probably thought 60 was old.  But, I do think 60 today is younger than 60 twenty or thirty years ago.  However,  there are some that think when you hit 50 you just need to cut your hair short, stop coloring it (because you're not fooling anyone anyways), wear conservative clothing, and basically put yourself out to pasture.  But, I'm healthy and active, so I'm not going down without a fight.

I love it! I'm not going down without a fight either. And I plan on coloring my hair for a long time to come! I agree, the 60 of today is not the 60 of 20 years ago.

Regarding our perception of what is old, I read that we tend to think fifteen years older than one's age is old.  I remember thinking twenty five was old, not granny old, but definitely not young!

Now, many professional people, doctors for example. look like they're in high school!

There are so many wonderful styling tools and products, I can’t imagine getting a perm. I literally have not seen anyone get a perm in my stylists salon for years. Would a good cut/product/style not be something to try? What look are you going for?
