@KBEANS wrote:They already changed the beautiful packaging and I get why, because of going green; but the packaging was awesome and also was nice to repurpose. I still have a wonderful box from an old set I bought. This time the items were carelessly thrown in the Q's shipping box. I still love Tatcha... so far. The same thing happened with Jamie Kern Lima, founder of IT Cosmetics, and Christina Carlino of Philosophy. They sold their companies to L'Oréal and Coty. I guess if you're offered a dump load of money you cash out. I heard Philosophy's fragrances really changed...for the worse. I never bought Philosophy before the change, so I don't know first hand, but I believe the many customers who complain. I don't think IT has changed, the items I've purchased seems the same, but who knows?
Also, Leslie Blodgett from Bare Minerals, who sold out to Shiseido for 1.7 Billion! Seems to be a theme here!

Estee Lauder built a huge company, and as far as I know, ran it all her life. I think I remember Bobbi Brown saying how much she respected her. And I also think that not long after Lauder's death, Bobbi Brown left the company. Maybe people no longer stay in the business the way she did or maybe she was a rarity.

Does anyone know if this "change" has been made yet? I just bought my first Tatcha item a few weeks ago (Water Cream $20 trial size). I've since bought a large jar of the Water Cream, a large jar of the Dewy Skin Cream, a tube of the Rice Wash, and a jar of the Rice Polish in Classic. I'm slightly obsessed and broke! LOVE!

Do you think the pkg change is just for QVC? I just bought the Rice Polish and Dewy Night Skin and they both came in a beautiful purple and blue box like this

This is what I've done to repurpose one of my Tatcha boxes. I have a rectangle size the Rice Polish came in and next week I'll have another cream box. Just recently tossed and organized my makeup/skincare drawers and will hopefully find some other collection to go in them. This is my collection of Too Faced Rich and Dazzling Lipgloss.

@beach-mom @Faceplacegirl I think it all comes down to good genes!
You are going to laugh when I tell you I use WEN to wash my face! My mom uses anything and she has beautiful skin at 85 years old.
Thanks for sharing your stories.

@monicakm What a great idea. They are very sturdy boxes.

@monicakm If you mean change in ownership, that has already happened. I think the products you bought were developed with Vicki Tsai as owner. Not sure when the rice wash was developed. So far, I haven't read any comments about those products being changed. And maybe she is still involved. I just don't know.
I've bought multiple Tatcha products from QVC lately because they were such a good deal, such as the Camellla oil duo, which at Sephora is $95 for one. I also got the rice polish duo and a couple of other things I already had on my Sephora list, but were a much better price at QVC, which is a first!
If you're talking about packaging changing, I haven't received anything packaged differently yet.

Hi, I'm glad to see that yours is still packaged beautifully! My Tatcha TSV packaging was not what I was expecting. Perhaps it's because it was a TSV? The set came in a plain cardboard box with the items shrewd in a plastic bag. A previous TSV set had a beautiful big printed box that I repurposed and I was looking forward to getting another with this purchase. Knowing how the Japanese put such great emphasis on wrapping, and presentation; I already had repurpose plans for the new box. 😆 I also bought a supersize face oil and it just came in the black outer box, which I understand because it's a huge bottle, and it is an economical purchase. This was my first supersize Tatcha purchase, so I don't know if it's changed. I'm not angry or anything, I still like Tatcha, very much. I just noticed a difference and wondered if it was from the recent buyout. My Indigo creams, regular size, came as your did with the pretty blue box securing, and presenting the product. These purchases were awhile back as well, and I haven't purchased those since the change. I have noticed on some reviews of Tatcha products, some buyers requesting changes to the "unnecessary packaging" so I thought maybe this influenced the company. I do appreciate the QVC savings either way! At times, little extras like a keepsake box, or a tin, make a gift much more special. Thanks for sharing.

Hi all...kbeans...
noticed in your note you had purchased a super-size Camellia cleansing oil. I have been on-the-lookout for the supersize but haven't found it. Do you...or anyone ...know if that is available at a certain time of year, or just shows up randomly? It has become an obsession to track it down! Thanks.
