Re: Looking to replace Purity...Help!

I love Purity. When I try something new, I always return to Purity. I have extremely sensitive skin and it works best for me. Good luck finding something better...I haven't been able to. I also love the facial cloths/wipes.

Re: Looking to replace Purity...Help!

I, too, used Purity, on and off for a bunch of years. I finally realized it was possibly the culprit behind some of my skin issues.

For me now, I still switch things up, but I LOVE Tatcha's cleanser. This is wonderful, IMO, for those of us with skin on the dry side.

I also recently tried the FAB cleanser which was really nice and not stripping or drying.

And in a pinch I'll use my DH's cleanser--which is typically CeraVe or Cetaphil or the store brand of these products.

All of the above take off all of my MU. Sometimes with the CeraVe-type cleansers I'll have to go over my eye area again with eye MU remover. But I will still use it.

I find CeraVe cleanser for dry skin to be wonderful - and cheap.

ITA...I switched from Purity to CeraVe and like it better. I use Kirkland facial towelettes to remove eye makeup.

I use Neutrogena sensitive skin foaming cleanser. The dermatologist I see recommended this and it really works well. The cleanser removes the make-up very similar to Purity.

I love the tatcha cleansing oil. I bought a travel size on ebay before I bought the full size. Nothing takes off eye makeup better. I did use purity and still have a giant bottle. I like it but love the tatcha.

Oil of Olay. I started using Total Effects cream facial cleanser about two months ago. This product is wonderful for my skin type. I chose it to replace Clinique's Redness Solution cream cleanser which cost $23 for a four week supply. Total Effects cost $7.62 at Walmart and a tube lasts twice as long as Clinique. It comes in the foaming face wash formula as well.

I traded in skin-parching Purity for Eve Lom. It's available at QVC.

Paula's Choice. She has a variety of cleansers and toners. I have normal to dry skin, and mostly use the Resist line, but I change it up from time to time and use Moisture Boost. She has a pure line and one for oily skin as well. Some super sizes too. She always has deals, if not on products then on shipping. Shipping is free if you spend $50. +

Congrats for giving up Purity.

ITA. However, Paula Begoun also recommends Olay Foaming Face Wash, Sensitive. You can get it in @5 oz pump or 7 oz tube for about $5. It takes off everything except long-wearing makeup. Very gentle and non-stripping. No irritating fragrances. Follow with a Paula's Choice toner to remove last traces and deposit skin-identical/beneficial ingredients.

For me, Olay is a non-starter because they test on animals.

I'd been using Moisture Boost, then switched to Skin Recovery. This one's a keeper.

Loving the Skin Recovery Moisturizer these days!
