Re: Paying it forward...yay or nay ?

And kindness can be free.  I try to be kind, and you don't know on any day, who just also needs a kind word or a smile.  I'm so blessed in my life with family, good benefits, a good life.  I try to help others less fortunate.  It doesn't mean people are just bragging about it, we are sharing here.  We know some people may want to tell but I find most people don't want recognized, it just makes their heart happy.  Part of it is just gratitude that we feel blessed.

Paying it forward is a daily part of our life. It's a guiding philosophy for our family that we weave into our daily/weekly/monthly routines.

We volunteer weekly/monthly/quarterly with organizations near & dear to us.

In retirement, we hope to be able to make greater time commitment to our local food bank. It's a driving goal toward how we are preparing for retirement.

I do believe in paying it forward but not announcing/bragging about what you dol!!!

OP asked for examples. That's not bragging.

It's bragging if someone does something nice for someone and, later, tells their friends and family about it.
