My salon has been dead until Memorial Day Weekend and everyone came out of the woodwork due to mask restrictions being lifted and the beginning of summer.
For the last year, everyone was sitting around waiting for their appointments. Last Friday, I had to wait behind 3 people to check in.
I was happy for the salon and my technicians specifically as they have been struggling and doing Uber on the side to make ends meet. My appt was delayed due to the person before me taking longer than usual as she was a new customer and had not had her feet touched in over a year.
They do not want to turn away new customers because so many of their old customers have not returned.
My first appt was about 10 minutes late and my appt with another technician was about 15 minutes late due to her taking in someone for a quick service.
They are trying to please everyone, old customers and new customers.
I'm just happy they are staying in business and I hope business picks up permanently. I'm glad a salon picked up my technicians when their old salon filed for bankruptcy at the beginning of the pandemic.
I really like my technicians and have followed them to 2 salons.
