Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

[ Edited ]

Welcome back Candlequeen!  Doesn't take long to put it back on, does it. Smiley Sad

bopper, haha...if not pumpkins, pumpkin spice!  You have to try them, they are very moist and tasty!  We get one or two every Fall, I could eat 3 of them at one time!

nomless, hope your kitty-sitting goes well!  I was thinking about those darn CC bagels in bed last night when I was starving, you guys are killing me! Smiley Tongue

MickD, hope you're all better today!  It sure makes a difference when you're hurting, something is up with my hips or something...wondering if it's from the steroids.

Laura, your body must have needed it.  Who knows, you could have been fighting something and if you wouldn't have rested, you would have ended up sick.

Going to the gym here in a few minutes.  Yesterday was so nice out, did 4 miles in the a.m. and another 4.5 in the p.m. with dh on top of my work-out...was so nice not to be drenched in sweat.  Got lost in Wal-mart yesterday...lost track of time anyway...lol!

Tomorrow is my John's Hopkins appt, dh flies out Thursday morning, DS's infusion is on Friday.  One of the guys that works for dh is really sick...in the hospital...his wife flew in Sunday.  Still waiting to hear what it is.

Okay...I guess I better head to HIIT class even though I'm not feeling it.  My tailbone is hurting for some reason.  I did 42 burpees yesterday with my gf's CF class for her birthday but it was hurting before that...for some reason they do bother my lower back a little.  Especially CF burpees...you go all the way down on the ground and touch your stomach...harder and take longer.

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Set up for Pound this morning and then skipped out and did Ride instead.  I hope my mat enjoyed the class.

Went back and did Power.  Kept my bulked up weights and I think I'm also ready for more weight on my triceps and shoulders.  Yahoo!

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Morning just finished my workout, treadmill intervals and Total Gym.   It's dreary here so stayed inside.

Nomless I hope your kitty sitting is going well, good thing the collie doesn't mind the kennel.  I am dreading leaving Logan when we go to the wedding!  I hope he does alright, I mean he will, but I hate thinking he is wondering where we are.

Laura sounds like your moving up in weights, that's a great thing!  Resting isn't alwasy bad either.

Iluvlucy what a busy week!  Hoping everything goes alright for everyone.  I am thinking those pumpkin scones ( bagels) pumpkin anything now!

MickD we all deal with aches and pains, good thing we learn to work around them.

Well I'm hungry so need to shower and make something.

Have a great day!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Lucy, the rest of your week sounds stressful. I hope things go well for you, DH and DS.

Laura, good job with those weights.

Hi, Bopper, you always do a good job, too. You're so consistent doing lots of different things.

I did a long workout, but I felt very tired so I went at an easy pace. Sort of an active rest day, I guess.

The kitty I'm caring for this week is fine, but lonely. She follows me around and talks to me but she doesn't want me to touch her. Yesterday I got her interested in a you she played with awhile. I'll head back over in a little while.

Autumn is coming! Temps here have been in the 60s, and it's been rainy. I welcome autumn weather. Had to get a blanket last night.

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

I will be doing my ab and arm workout at home tonight. I miss kickboxing class.  I have a few people I need to put on a bag and beat the ****** out of.

I got my Irish sweater yesterday and I love it!!  If it wears well, I'll be in trouble come St. Patrick's day.

I still feel like I am slacking compared to you guys.  I may start changing my routine at the gym and doing my own thing a few nights a week.

Well.....took a day off yesterday in hopes that the sciatica was gone.....nope.  So I did Total Gym today.....the intermediate program kicks my arss...I feel like spaghetti!  As long as I get cardio in I'm good....I think this will be good for my body to do something different.

I just wanted to update you. I have lost 36 lbs as of today. I have been walking 4 miles a day- 4 -5 times a week. I have started to run a little bit. I have not walked this week because I have been ill. I have started to purchase clothing. I buy my clothes from Kohl's and Target. I bought a couple pair of jeans from Kohl's for $16.99. They are made by Gloria VAnderbilt and they are petite short. I am so glad I don't have to hem them. I bought 6 tees from Target for $55.00. I went to JC Penneys but it looked like a rummage sale. Their clothing was on sale from 50% to 70% off. I walked around but walked out. I don't live close to any shopping centers. When I lived in CA I could drive about 3 miles and I was at the largest shopping area. I live in Colorado and they do not have any close shopping centers near my house. I really miss CA.

You go @elated!  I am so proud of you!  Smiley Very Happy

And we need to go shopping together. Sounds like you found some steals.  I'm petite too and I honestly shop in Juniors most of the time so I don't have to deal with alterations.  Glad you found some clothes that worked right off the hanger.  That's a tough job.  I know.  High five!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Hi all, today was errand day and groceries, I did get a Dog walk in on the trial though, just cleaning and organizing stuff.

Nomless I bet kitty is lonely for her collie pal.  Glad your there to check on her.  I put my fleece sheets on the bed, it feels wonderful!

Laura kick some you know what!!!  I hear ya!!!

MickD good job on the TG, switching things up is a good thing.

elated wow you have done awesome losing weight and great buys on your jeans and tops!  I love Target!  We have limited shopping here too, our JC Penny closed down but we do have Kohls and Younkers.  My son lives in CO too ...beautiful area!

Iluvlucy thinking about you today along with DH and DS... Hoping and praying all goes well!

Laura was it you that got the other sheets for winter, the Berkshire ones?  Are they hot?

Trying to figure out what to order at Applebees, that's healthy and not dripping in sodium.  I looked online at their menu, unbelievable the amounts of sodium in their food.

Have a great rest of your day!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

@bopper  The velvet sheets are like sleeping in a blanket.  For most people, that's too much unless you are like me and always cold. If you don't like to be warm while you sleep, it's not the sheet set for you.

I've been fighting with myself about putting my new velvet set on but we are still near 90 and only just below 70 maybe at night so, even with the windows open, it's probably not time yet.  I hate the South!
