Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

@Laura14 - You crack me up!  Your basket was having no fun with only fruits and veggies!  At the grocery store that I go to ....they do the double whammy....the wine and the snacks are in the same aisle!  I can only handle one vice successfully.....not two!

@MickD I'll make sure I complain for both of us about their aisle placement choices when I drop the fish on the electronic eye's doorstep.  Smiley Wink

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

I'm laughing at Laura and Mick's food convo. My carb confession - today I stopped at Panera and got everything bagels with chive and onion cream cheese.

Judy, get over that bug quickly!  You have a country to see.

Bopper, glad you found the jewelry. It's fun to actually need jewelry, lol.

Long workout done at taking kitty to vet for shots.  He's so happy to be home. Now it's dark and rainy with rumbling thunder.  It'seems very nice, actually. Now am watching Alison Sweeney bakery murder mysteries on Hallmark. Can you tell I'm enjoying not having a job?  Yikes.

@nomless  Enjoy it!

And OMG cream cheese.  I only allow that when I travel through an airport because it's cheap and quick.  If I ever brought that into my home, I'd look like the stay puff marshmallow man.   I love cream cheese.  Another Philadelphia thing!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Hi everyone!  We've been on the go all week, dh was on leave(even though he worked every day, took phone calls, and even went into work one day).

Went out to horse and wine country one day and went wine tasting...then out for Sushi, because that makes sense...lol.  We did Old Town Alexandria one day and went to eat at this really nice place on the waterfront...they messed out order up so they picked up the entire tab and it wasn't exactly cheap. I would go back though, they made it right.

We went to Sully last night, it was really good.  Different side to the story and I'll leave it at that.  The theater has the reclining seats, they were so comfortable!

I didn't think Attack class was as hard this week as last week...but that's relative, some people thought it was worse.  Yesterday I did legs and a CrossFit WOD...sledge hammer and the big ropes included, with runs in between.  Did pistol squats on TRX, will definitely need to keep those up.

We went to the park on the Potomac last night after the movie to walk Lucy and there were soooo many deer....they were walking out in front of cars, when we were walking you could get up pretty close to them, they're so used to people.  It's still super hot here...ugh.

Okay, I read through...and now all I can remember was Judy was sick, cat to the vet, jewelry, and cream cheese...hahaha!  Hope you feel better Judy...nomless, glad kitty is okay....and I love jewelry and cream cheese! Smiley Tongue

Talking about doing the W&OD trail today but the 95* forecast may require a change of plans.

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Happy Saturday!   It's raining steady here, cool but humid.   Decided to to Bodygym this morning, and cleaning.   Looking through recipe books to see what I am making for our dinner tonight.  Chicken thawing now!   Something with brown rice and broccoli I think.

Good thing I don't care for Cream cheese, unless it's in frosting LOL.....

Nomless I hear ya, Hallmark movie day here today, not much else to do.  Outside is definately a no!

Judy hope you feel better, doing an Irish jig for you!

Laura, time to organize the grocery Isle apparently!  Hahah....I hate when they decide to change up the entire store and you can't find anything!

MickD waving to you!

Iluvlucy sounds like a great day yesterday!  Sorry about your heat wave, it just doesn't want to leave does it?

Enjoy the weekend!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Lucy, it sounds like you and DH had a nice week. I bet he enjoyed having some time off. You have lots off cool places to visit. It sounds so nice.

After viewing doing long workouts all week, today I did my standard workout. After enjoying another bagel and cream cheese this morning (Panera's bagels are ymmuy), now I'll be good have have some tuna.

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Workout done. I did more this week than usual. Forgot to mention that earlier this week I got a new personal best on the bike. Yay for me!

This afternoon need to go help a friend who's having trouble with her wifi. I installed a new router for her last week It was working fine, but today it can't get to the internet but the local network is ok. I think all she needs to do is reboot the router, but she's moved cables around and now doesn't know where they should be. Hope I can figure it out!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

I am taking two days off of exercising.  I think I have sciatica in my right leg.  Nerve pain is wrapped around my upper leg to buttock.  I've never had sciatica on the right only on the left.  So the plan is to run tomorrow if better, if not I'll have to do total gym for cardio.

@Iluvlucy - I love that area.  I think I told yuz all this before....my sis lives in Alexandria and her and her fiancé owned a gym in Annandale.
