MickD, I love kayaks! But where you live is a lot different than a bay, river, or a lake, I haven't gone out in one on the ocean yet...not really anyway, just the bay. I wouldn't go out too far either! Tell them to stay close to shore. Dh wants to rent kayaks and go out on the ocean when I get home...they rent them right on base. I'm afraid of sharks.

bopper...out of Dodge is about right...haha! I'm nervous to leave, but know it's time. I need to get back to my own bed. I almost forget what my new house looks like! He is healing from the UC, can tell a huge difference this week, so if it wasn't for the steroids, I wouldn't feel bad at all. Just nervous because he'll do his Humira Saturday night but he could react to that at any time.

Hi, all. Long week. I had to go to the dentist today, and that was a disaster. If we were going to have kids, they'd probably want my first-born, too! Anywho, got some of my energy together and walked a quick 3 miles. Ran a little bit of it. It rained some today, and I sneezed most of the day, too. Lol! I stretched out a little bit on the Pilates machine. I'll probably do a little upper body on there tmrw morning before work. Is as going to do spin this morning, but I got an extra two hours of sleep, instead. I guess God knew what he was doing, when I kept hitting that snooze and missed it, because without that sleep, I might've lost it a few times today. Lol! We just had big smoothies for dinner tonight. So good. Yesterday I didn't WO, because hubby finished one of the biggest projects of his life, and so we went out to celebrate. I'm so proud of him!! Next week is going to be super busy. I have stuff many nights next week, so I'll have to figure out some times to WO. I think after that it slows down a little bit. Patty, glad your DS is doing well enough that you can go home. Bopper, how's the weather up there? It was 87* here today. And muggy! I WANT FALL!! Nomless, I have had a UTI two times before, and they hurt sooooooo bad. I KNEW when I had one! One time I had one when I already had an awful sinus infection. Not my finest moment........ Mick. That made me so nervous about the waves. I would've been wound tiiiggghhhhhttttt! Hi to everyone else. TGIF!! I'm SO glad!!! We have no plans this weekend, and I am beyond ecstatic about it!

I haven't slept much the past couple of nights and decided I probably have a UTI. I went to the doc, and sure enough I was right. He started me on meds, so I should feel better soon. I wonder if I got it from my little girl kitty who recently had one??? Probably not, that was quite some time ago. I'm feeling worn out, I don't know if I'll w/o today, or if I'll just rest. BL tonight....I'll watch it and then go to bed early, hope I can sleep tonight!

I bought some egg salad at the store because I was craving it, and it's awful. Yuck. I bought eggs, too, so in the next day or two, I'll make my own. I didn't know it was possible to mess up egg salad, but they did somehow. It has a dry mealy texture. Weird, and not good!

I didn't see this post nomless! So sorry about your UTI. I know exactly what you're talking about with the egg salad...yuk!

FUTURE...my allergies are in full bloom. I haven't been this bad in a long time...ugh. Hope I don't have a sneezing attack on the freeway, I'll sneeze 12 times in a row!

I'm sad today, hate good-byes to begin with, then always nervous to leave after he's been sick. You never know what's going to happen when he really starts tapering off the steroids, it has come back with a vengeance before but I need to get home and he is doing much better. He had his 6-month review at work...highest scores possible across the board and he got the highest percentage raise they're allowed to give out which they normally don't give. So that was some good news he really needed to help give him a little pep in his step. Time to get back to normal hopefully.

DH didn't get home until 2 a.m. last night(went to see some more guys off and meet with their families) and was up again at 5 to do it all over again. He hasn't had over 4 hours sleep one night this week.

Walked the dogs this morning, was still wide awake at 11:30 last night so told my dil I wasn't getting up for Spin. Last night was a really good work-out but my foot is killing me...this darn thing just isn't going to go away. I guess I over-did it this week and it's not there yet.

Have a great day everyone! I'm praying I don't hit a ton of traffic, Friday is a terrible day to drive the route past DC I have to take. But it is what it is.

Happy Friday all, sunny here and in the 50's but very windy.

Had my hair colored and trimmed this morning for a wedding reception tonight so I'm not working out and sweating...sounds like a cop out hahah..maybe it is!

FUTURE we were in the 30's last night...sorry you are so hot..hopefully soon it will cool down. Congrats to hubby on his project being completed!

Pppmint safe travels home...it's a long ride for you and Lucy and I am praying you get home safe and sound. Imagine it was very hard leaving not knowing how DS will continue to do but I understand you wanting to be in your own bed and home...Awesome on his raise and evaluation...he's a great young man! So proud!

Boy Fall is here for us....the skies are blue, then clouds and dark, then sprinkles, then sun.. Pretty typical for us for Fall...some areas had flakes already....well You know the kind of flakes I am talking about

Patty, enjoy sleeping in your own bed tonight. DH and kitty will be so happy to see you, and I be Lucy will be tickled to be back home with Daddy. It makes me smile just thinking about it. It doesn't take much to make a fur kid happy. I hope your trip home was uneventful, and I hope DS continues to improve. Lots of good wishes to all.

Hi, Bopper, your weather sounds like a typical fall day...sunny, cool and windy. Flakes??? No! Not yet!!! Here, we're getting another hot spell and the AC is back on. I enjoyed BL last night. I do prefer the 2-hour format, and I like that they have a chance to get back in the game. It's always bothered me that people who really need the help are sent home. At least this way, they get another week of instruction.

I'll miss a workout tonight, as I'm going out to dinner with a friend. I was going to get my hair cut tomorrow, but the stylist was hospitalized today and no one else is available. My hair can wait, and I pray my stylist is OK. She's been dealing with a serious illness for quite sometime.

nomless, are you feeling better? I hope your stylist is okay. Lucy was soooo happy to be home...rubbed her head and face all over everything and was all over daddy's face last night in bed. She'd turn around and see him and run over and kiss him again...haha.

bopper...it was so nice being in my own bed! Especially after THAT trip! I poured gas all over me so had to inhale the fumes for 4 hours, missed my turn and went way out of my way, hit a TON of traffic, and my allergies are terrible so I was blowing my nose, or stuffed up, and having sneezing fits like crazy...and by 8:30, Lucy was melting down. We're warmer here but it's kind of nice after enjoying the cooler weather up there. But we're much cooler than when I left...97* to the 70's, which is a welcome relief.

FUTURE...congrats to your dh!

DH, Lucy, and I biked today. The beach was very choppy but it's windy out. We stopped and ran sprints with Lucy at the park. We did the stairs and dh told me, "Either move it or get out of the way". So...I got out of the way! Think the past....well, summer, this entire summer has taken a lot out of me! Moves, hotels, surgeries, Change of Command, company, unpacking, right into ds being sick and going up there. Can't believe it's going into the end of September! I really feel like I missed this summer completely....it's strange.

DS told me he was lonely last night...ugh. His wife went to a church group, he was too tired after working all day and having to get up at 5 and work again today. They had extra patients yesterday too so were short-handed. He's just more emotional on these darn steroids, normally isn't like him at all. I don't know, maybe I should have stayed until he gets down to 20 mg dose. Hard to know...that would be 2 more weeks though! Need to get some stuff done here.

Anyway, I'm talking to myself...lol! I feel guilty.

Hey all, it's gone from cool to rather warm here again...very odd but not unheard of. I'ts 80 out. Sure glad I kept DH from taking out our AC unit.

I twisted my neck funny last night at the reception so I haven't done anything today other than went to breakfast with my son and DIL..

Pppmint so happy you are home. Need to regroup and get your bearings again. Glad too that you love your new Beach Cruiser. I bet Lucy looks just too cute in her little carrier. Sure hope DS can hold his own now that you are home.

Watching my Tigers now and then maybe DH and I will walk the ski trail. As long as I am not jolting my neck we can go. I just didn't want to go alone in case Logan ran too far ahead and came across another loose dog..feel better if DH is with me.

Oh this morning I also ran into TJ's and Ulta...of course could have spent about 200$..need the IT cc cream 38$, a palette I liked 38$, some jeans at TJ's 40$, a jacket for Fall/ Winter 80$...guess I can stop now! Came home with "0"..

Well, I haven't broken any speed records the past two days thanks to these allergies! Still moved though...biking, walking, and jogging. Woke up a lot last night...either so stuffed up I can't breath, or I'm blowing my nose like crazy! My eyes are watering like I'm crying too...no eye make-up, that's for dern sure! Should take some Allegra but it keeps me up at night.

DH is at the airport welcoming some guys home from deployment. Kids are doing a Hunger Run today through her parent's church, they do it every year because her mom heads it up...obviously ds isn't running it this year...he's going to take tickets, he can sit at a table.

I'm still not sure if I'm doing any weights or not...not sure if I'm feeling it. I didn't eat very much yesterday so I feel weak today, couldn't taste anything. Maybe I'll just stick with my organizing, still have some filing to do and did my armoire.

Bopper, you'd better rest and let your neck get back better. Going into stores is crazy, isn't it? If I let myself do it, I could spend hundreds quite easily.

I had a busy day yeasterday. I spent the morning cooking food for the week, then cleaned the living room, did a cardio workout, backed up my computer, and I don't remember what else. I made a run to Kohl's this morning, but didn't find what I was looking for. At another Kohl's last week, I saw apothecaries I liked. Today, I remembered that I have Valerie beaded fruit I could fill them with. I went to the Kohl's near here, but that store didn't have them. Tomorrow, maybe I'll check Home Goods. Might be cheaper there. Today I have to color my roots....the gray is peeking through! Have a good day, everyone.
