Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Wow, Mick, thank goodness it turned out OK....and maybe taught DS a lesson that the instructor knows what he's talking about. To me, landlocked in the middle of the US, reading your tale of surfing in the early morning is quite a treat. It sounds wonderful.

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

I just typed a message and lost it! I'd like to know what I hit that erases it! Grrrr!

Anyway, MickD, I actually had two similar instances with my son like that...one involved a shark at open-water swim practice. I hope you can have a relaxing evening and catch your breath!

nomless...I had to post this beautiful guy for you. I'm sorry I don't know how to make it smaller. I keep forgetting about ANW...I'm all off-track up here.

bopper....yes, the Spin bikes bother my tailbone but you can't go by me. I did break mine in gymnastics but I also have a birth defect in mine which has always caused me pain and trouble...so everything hurts mine!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Morning everyone! Frost on the grass again this morning, WI took over for WY and had the coldest temps in the nation this morning, but we weren't too far behind.

Work-out is done for the day...other than walk the dogs. I didn't sleep at all last night, was up until well after 1, tossed and turned, then up at 5 so can't see me doing much more. I'm sure I'll be sick after this morning some people should have stayed home...it's really going around.

Dh has had some long days, I need to get home. He left the house at 5:15 yesterday and didn't get home until 11:15. He went to the airport to see some of his guys off, got to talk to the families, it was nice. Sunday he's going to the airport to welcome a platoon home(if they actually get back as scheduled).

Okay...laundry is calling me. I want to get everything done here before I head home...they're both at work so I have a few hours to accomplish it all. Thinking of pulling out on Friday...we'll see.

Have a great day!!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Oh, my, what a quiet day here today.

Patty, I'm sure it's difficult needing and wanting to be in two places at once. I'm sure DS would love to feel better ... so you could go back home. Hang in there.

It's a warm day here, unlike the cool weather we've been having. I got a couple new sweatshirts, so I'm ready for the chill when it finally arrives.

Bopper, have you seen your bear lately?

I'll do cardio or Katami tonight, will decide how I feel when I get home.

Have a good evening...

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Very quiet here nomless! We're having beautiful weather here...cool in the morning and evenings, and 70* during the day.

I ran this morning, walked the dogs a couple of times(DS even went with me on one and I had to tell him to slow down a couple of times{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}, he has a naturally fast walk like his momma!) I just don't want him over-doing it right out of the gate, his body is still healing and his high WBC and low RBC are proof of that!{#emotions_dlg.sneaky}

DIL and I are going to a class tonight that they said is part Step class and part Body-Pump but it's pretty fast paced. Then she said we can go to the early Spin class tomorrow morning before I leave...lucky me.{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

I'm going home tomorrow! DS is at lunch right now with friends...he wasn't going to go because it's my last day but I told him to go, he needs it. Then he said I could go with them...I told him he doesn't have to entertain me, 'I'm good here at home doing your laundry, watching your dog, and cleaning your apartment before I leave so don't worry about me'.Wink He had to laugh at that one.

Okay everyone...hope you all are doing well!

ETA: I think I have a new beach cruiser waiting at home for me. Hoping Saturday is a good riding day! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Hi! Did 34 min./2.75 mi. on the treadmill....and thank gawd it's supposed to get cooler! My brain is fried!

Patti ~ Scary about open water and sharks. I haven't had to worry about that....yet. DH and DS want to get a kayak....I say - have fun...I am not going in one of those things!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Good job, Mick. Enjoy your cooler weather when it arrives.

Patty, it sounds like DS is doing much better. That's so great. No doubt he enjoyed is walk with you and going to lunch with his friends. And you get to go home! Yea! I hope things stay on an even keel for you for awhile.

I haven't slept much the past couple of nights and decided I probably have a UTI. I went to the doc, and sure enough I was right. He started me on meds, so I should feel better soon. I wonder if I got it from my little girl kitty who recently had one??? Probably not, that was quite some time ago. I'm feeling worn out, I don't know if I'll w/o today, or if I'll just rest. BL tonight....I'll watch it and then go to bed early, hope I can sleep tonight!

I bought some egg salad at the store because I was craving it, and it's awful. Yuck. I bought eggs, too, so in the next day or two, I'll make my own. I didn't know it was possible to mess up egg salad, but they did somehow. It has a dry mealy texture. Weird, and not good!

Re: Welcome to the September Exercise Thread

Hi all, this morning I did KCM Gym Intervals and added her bonus waistline segment and followed with about 15 minutes on the Pilates..then after lunch took a trail walk.

MickD what a scary situation on the water. We have rip tides here a lot and people ignore the Red flag warnings and our lake has taken quite a few lives..it's very frightening. So glad he is alright!

Nomless I haven't seen the bear but I take in my feeders each night and haul it all out in the morning. I am sure if I had left them out he would be here. Trying to discourage that! Did you do your PK workout? Feel better...just take tonight off and watch BL Love egg salad too..

Pppmint so glad you feel he is doing good enough so that you can get out of Dodge! Your Beach Cruiser awaits..now you have to get Little Lucy her basket..

Sunny here and in the 50's but it's beautiful.

Enjoy the rest of your day!
