Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Hey all, we are chilly today Laura!   37 out now.  You have to come way up to the North country to eperience this weather!  It's actuall not unusual for us at all.  I stil have so many leaves.  If it would ever dry up enough to get them done!

I am thinking hard about the sheets too!   I only have the fleece which I LOVE but have heard so many say these are the bomb diggedy I may have to get a set.   I like the cream also and the sea glass and the purple.

I did treadmill intervals this morning, and made wood stove fire so we don't ever have to turn our furnace on which saves a lot on that bill.

Nomless almost time to start work again hey?   I know you'll do fine!  I'm still very happy you got the job!   What are your hours there?

Iluvlucy did you run today or hit the gym or both?  Hoping DS and DH are doing alright and safe travels for DH.  He leaves the same day as me.  Check in when you can I know you said your taking a little break from social media.  We all need to do that at times.

Okie dokie time for lunch, starving!

Have a great day!

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Look at @bopper trying to steal my colors already.  Smiley Wink  Boy do you have the right weather for this set.  I highly recommend if you want to try them out.  I'm seriously doing the math for my third set.

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Hi, all. I forgot to post yesterday . Workout done today but yesterday was a rest day because I felt blah .

I'm happy others are pulling for the Cubs. I wasn't upset about the Game 1 loss - they couldn't hit that pitcher but otherwise played ok. I was happy with all the action last night.

Bopper, I don't want to enable you, but I like the Berkshire sheets much more than the fleece ones. They're a lot softer and don't pill or shed.

That said, Laura, I'm also trying to resist getting new ones. I don't need them, but I want them. But you should get the clearance sweater. You'll be sorry if you don't .

Lucy, I would be so scared being lost in the woods. I think I'd freak out. So glad you got out of there.

This week I'm trying to adapt life to my work schedule. I'll be working mostly in afternoons, so workout, etc, will need to be done in the morning. 4 more days, and I'll be back in the workforce with a little structure in my life again. I think that will be a good thing.

@nomless  So excited for you!!  If I were close I'd pack your lunch and send you off myself. No I wouldn't but I am so glad you found something you wanted again.  Smiley Happy

And then you went and reminded me of the sweater!  Now I have to go look again.  With any luck maybe it will be gone...  Smiley Very Happy

@Laura14, I appreciate the sentiment of packing my lunch and sending me off. I'll think of that on Monday for sure. 😊

Woohoo!  Thanks @nomless!  I went back to see the sweater and it was gone.  Smiley Sad  I didn't think it would upset me since I wasn't really sure about the color which is why I hesitated but I was really upset.  That was my sweater.

I hoped the person only had it in their cart because I knew it was the last one and if the person didn't buy it, it would release back to the website.  An hour later it did so MINE!!

Thanks for the reminder.  Now to decide on my sheets....

Nomless thank you, I just may have to try them!   I don't want them delivered though when I"m gone and they may be.  I may have my neighbor look for the box so it isn't sitting here until I get home again.

Keep the forum going for November please until I get back in the saddle.  I started the November thread because I didn't want to forget.  I'll  still be here for a few more days though  Smiley Happy

Happy Friday!  Heading out for the PA birthday celebration today.  Have reservations at our favorite restaurant again, making it a yearly tradition.  His work had a pot-luck for him yesterday and bought a cake...they treat him really well there and made it so he can continue working there while going to school.

I got 3 sets of the sheets...the kids needed a new set too...and it's my gf's birthday but I already got her a box full of stuff so undecided about that.

nomless...hope you love your new job and you feel right at home there.  How exciting!

bopper...have a safe trip and enjoy making memories.  Love the Sheltie pic...but Logan is more handsome than that one.  His eyes are better.

Laura...I have one of those Irish sweaters, beautiful but too hot for me...I'm always hot so we'd have a heck of a time in the same room...lol!  They have some at TJMaxx right now.  Try the Barre class, I think you will like it more than you think...although I know they're all different.  I never thought I'd care for it...Kelly Rippa says it's one thing she'll always continue in her exercise routine because of the results.  Not that I care what KR thinks...haha...but I do agree about this.

It was a beautiful morning for a run, stars were so bright and clear.  I saw a lot of snow statuses on FB yesterday.  Maine had 5" so far...a pretty white blanket.  Our friends form San Diego were visiting family in New York so they really enjoyed being there for the first snowfall...they did a snow dance on the back deck...lol.

Going to do some pilates now then a quick hike before we head out.  Hope everyone has a great weekend.  Can't see me being on, not taking my laptop.

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Forgot...I almost cried when I was lost in the woods.  As Laura said, the leaves were all on the ground and it made everything look different anway so even trails I've been on didn't look like ones I'm familiar with.  Then I meet a man with a chainsaw....hahaha!   I don't even want to know...not like he could be cutting down a Christmas tree yet!  I kept turning around and looking behind me to make sure no one was there...clowns or chainsaws, not sure what would be worse! Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Happy Friday everyone:   I'm babysitting my youngest GD for a few hours this morning so that will certainly have me busy.  I wish I had a play pen, I don't so may be a bit difficult as I don't want to leave her on the living floor if Logan needs to go out.  Guess we bundle up and all head outside.  It's in the 30's here this morning.

Iluvlucy have a safe trip to PA, I remember you saying you were going up for the BD celebration.   I pm'd you so check your phone  Smiley Happy   We're supposed to be in the 50's today and tomorrow, unusual for us but I"ll take it, winter is long enough. Thank you for the well wishes for the wedding!

I am undecided on the sheets, not that they aren't the bomb digety but I really don't need them.  I have 2 sets of the fleece so I switch out when I wash them and I understand these are even better than the fleece but seeing I really don't "need" them I'm on the fence.  I thought about getting them for my DIL but my son is always hot and he won't sleep on them, he won't even try them so doesn't matter what anyone says he just won't.

Any ways thank you all for the safe traveling wishes, 4 more days and I"m off to make memories.

Enjoy the day I have to get ready, bringing up the high chair ( my original high chair I used as a baby)  that's a memory already!
