Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Bopper, on the other thread, you asked how many applied for the job. They told me they reviewed 90 applications and chose 6 to interview. I'm pleased that I made the interview cut.

Can you please explain this to me?  I've not seen a thread like this before.

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

@3suwm5, hi, nice to see you. We're a bunch of posters who are interested in getting exercise each day (or when we can), and we post what we do to help keep each other motivated. Along the way, we always talk about other stuff, too.

If you're interested, take a look at the September thread, where you can see how our conversations go. Bopper starts a new thread every month so that is doesn't grow int,o a huge size.

We welcome new posters. If this is your thing, we'd love to have you join in. It's a friendly thread, no snarkiness or nastiness found here.

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Like you said nomless, it's so hard to get these jobs to begin with.  Sure hope something similar comes along.

Still raining here and I'm actually enjoying it.  I was up most of the night with hives/welts again...ugh.  Could feel it coming, had the bugs crawling under my skin sensation the past few nights pretty bad...that means they're trying to pop out.

We went to Deep Water Horizon yesterday...soooooo good!  It's a must see imo...what a nightmare that was.  I remember walking/running on the beach in Destin for weeks after and finding oil balls on it.

DH and I did 8 yesterday after I had gone out for a run by myself so had a high mileage day.  Met a new friend, we're going to hike/power-walk together sometime in the future.  She knows all the trails in the area and has done the 8-mile one to Great Falls and back which dh and I are going to do when it gets cooler and the leaves have changed more.  She told me about another one that is along the river and said when it's snowing, it's either so peaceful and you feel like you're in your own world or it can be white-out and you can't barely see the trail...either way, sounds fun!   She was out in the rain too and said she goes out in about anything...but ice on these hills can be dangerous.

Welcome 3suwm5!  Waving to all!

Pilates reformer, yoga, and weights today...not sure what else.

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Happy Saturday everyone!   I'm still dealing with the headcold, each day better but the cough lingers,....oh well small potatos compared to what others have going on.

Nomless That was a lot of applicatons, it's great you got interviewed...keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Iluvlucy those trails in winter sound really pretty, I bet you could snow shoe them too.  Sorry your dealing with the hives again, has to completely drain you having this happen over and over.   Sending positive thoughts!

3suwm5 nice to meet you.  Nomless pretty much explained it all, just a nice friendly thread where we talk about our exercise, or strugles with it  too  Hahha and anything else we have going on.  Just visiting with friends.

I did walk Logan on the trail this morning and of course it started to drizzle hard as soon as I got out there, but I kept going , the leaves are still on the trees and were like a roof over me so it worked out.

Hubby is cutting more wood for the winter fires and Logan is barking ( as per usual)  Hahah...I have applesauce in my crock pot, and going through some closets trying to put away capri's and summer stuff and bringing out the fall/winter stuff.  Hate to even say the word "winter" not ready, it's too long and I"m too old!  LOL

Any whoooo  have a wonderful rest of your day!

@bopper  I hope you are feeling better!!  Sick and still working out.  You go girl!

@nomless  Offer still stands!  And if it doesn't work out, remember a library cost me $3000 with their curb.  I have no problem burning one down after closing time.  You can roast marshmallows and wave to the people who didn't hire you.  Guarantee you'll get the next one.  Smiley Wink

@Iluvlucy Hope you are having a relaxing weekend.  You need one!

I am planning to go hike later today.  And maybe run up to the mall to get a second pair of glasses since it's pretty much free with the insurance.  We'll see.

Have a great Saturday!

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Happy college game day!  Michigan State will play Indiana tonight.  They lost two former players last week - a punter and a defensive back - two separate incidents.....very sad.  Let's win one for the gipper, boys!

I did Pilates and the rebounder....was motivated by the fact that I haven't worked out since Monday....and that the AC vent was blowing cold air on me - Ha!  Gotta get it in gear this week and get back on track. My son had a rough week last week and it was difficult to get workouts in with all the drama.

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Mick, I hope things get better in DS's life.

Bopper, feel better. Hugs.

Lucy, you have a lot of trails to explore. Lucy will love them. LOL. Do you have a pouch to carry her when she gets tired like the guy in the Amazon commercial? Every time I see that, I think of you.

Hi, Laura. Enjoy your weekend away from work!

I did a super long workout to make up for part of the time I missed this week. Still on track for making it an OK week re: workouts.
