Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Check In

April - hello and welcome

Gazelle & nomless - you're doing great! Keep moving

Ppprmint -- I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. Sending good thoughts your way

Didn't exercise today. Down with the spring allergies, trying to avoid sinus infection. Booo. Better days ahead... I will pack workout clothes for after work tomorrow. Thinking positive

Take care everyone

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Check In

Morning!! We're heading out today and praying that Lucy is okay...she doesn't drive well, has panic attacks...ugh.{#emotions_dlg.unsure}

My dil ran a half-marathon yesterday, someone clipped her foot and she fell into a pot-hole, her legs really got cut up. It was so crowded, people had to jump over her when she went down. She didn't get to train much(not even 1 run a week) and she still averaged an 8:36 min mile...bloody legs and all!

nomless, now you just need to send me your food containers so I stop eating so much! LOL!! The doctor told me "you can't outrun or out-diet a low thyroid"...she sure was right! I need to go back in and address it...at least see where it is. I can sure tell it's worse when I'm going through a lot of stress...and welcome to my life so I guess this is just how it's going to be...ugh.

Everyone is doing great! We're still below average for our temps, I see they're really getting hit with some high heat already in some states. I sure hope we don't get that for a while.

Okay, I'm heading out for a run then we'll get ready and head out! {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Check In

Morning Ladies!

Yesterday I decided to look at the 60 minute Exhilarate DVD from my Zumba kit that I bought probably a year ago now. Well for heaven's sake! That DVD is an injury just waiting to happen. First it's way to fast and impossible to follow, then they do moves that could seriously injure a person's back, shoulders, etc. I was so surprised that such a horrible DVD was even out on the market. Anyway, obviously, that one is not for me! LOL Even the "slower" one in the Exhilarate package is not good. Very little warm-up and no cool down. I have the Zumba "Gold" DVDs too but they aren't enough cardio for me. Guess Zumba just isn't for me until they come out with some different DVDs.

Now that I"m off of that rant, guess it'll be back to the old Turbo Jam DVDs I have from years ago. I also recently bought the body blade but haven't used it yet.

I'm starting to get back into life again as someone here told me not to forget to do. It's slow but I feel it coming back. LOL The 12-week countdown to Africa is on! Actually I start to get really excited when it's the 10-week countdown so have a couple more weeks to go but it's getting closer! YEA!!!

Hope you all have a good day!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Check In

Morning,

Nice to see some new guests also...hi everyone!

Safe travels PPPmint for all of you. So sorry about your DIL and the fact people were stepping over her instead of helping her...

Nomless are you still liking this new food plan?

Judy I always thought I would get hurt doing Zumba at home on carpet. I worry about twisting my knees wrong...good thing there are a lot of options out there for everyone.

FUTURE hi and waving..it's getting hot in your neck of the woods already.

Even though we were below 30 this morning I prefer that to 90..

I did my TG again for an hour, raked some in front and back and want to do a DIY project making my own Oriel feeder. I youtubed it and I think I can do it. A couple more weeks before they show up here.

OK, taking Logan out....have a wonderful day!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Check In

Patty, you're DIL is tough! She did a great job. Have a safe journey.

Hi, Judy, good to see you.

Hi, Bopper, since you're raking, we know the snow is melting. That's a step closer to spring for you. Have fun making your feeder. Fun!

Week 3 of 21DF done. 8 pounds lost. I'm a little disappointed, given that 5 of those were lost in week 1. I hoped to lose 10-12 after 3 weeks. Oh, well, 8 pounds is pretty good.

Yes, Bopper, I still love the container system because it's structured and is so easy to do. Now I know exactly what to eat and how much.

That doesn't mean I won't deviate now and then, though. Lemon brownies that were on another thread are on my mind, as are belgian waffles, so I might throw in a cheat day or two soon.

Weights today. Ugh. I used to enjoy doing weights, but now that I've gone heavier, I hate doing them...it's hard!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Check In

Morning from Indiana! What a day yesterday was...lol. Oh well, that's just how this tribe rolls.{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Went for a good run this morning and had some free scrambled eggs and oatmeal after. We're getting ready to head out again...hope we don't hit as much road construction today.

We also have to stop frequently to run Lucy...we're the only people that get more miles in while driving across country...lol!{#emotions_dlg.laugh} I try to run her around a mile at each stop then again when we stop for the night.

Hope everyone is doing well and their week is going smoothly!

p.s. The man's funeral were going to was a WWII vet that received the Navy Cross for Iwo Jima. He walked in front of the tanks to make sure they didn't hit any bombs. He was there when they raised the flag.

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Check In

Morning, out the door early for me this morning. At the store by 7:30 am. Put it all away and did a 45 minute power walk outside. It's up to 45 now!

I can't believer grocery prices. I just stand there in disbelief....not knowing what to fix for dinner that stretches and isn't all carb related...it's terrible..

PPpmint safe travels the rest of the journey. What a wonderful man this friend was to you and what great stories I bet he could tell. Very proud!

Nomless glad the containers system is so easy and helps you to learn how to eat. Something I think you can stick too. I supposed the weight loss slows down now and again but 8 pounds is great! No need to feel bad about that...although I know having weeks where you think you lost more would make you feel bad, but please don't . Your doing really good with the heavy weights and the cardio....be proud!

Judy counting down again towards your trip to Africa....your back on track girl!

I am happy to see new faces here, ya'all come visit ya hear!
