Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Check In

Hi, all!! This has been one busy week. Just lots of stuff going on, and family in town last night. This morning was lifting, spin, errands, then got cleaned up and had lunch with a friend and about to do a little bit of stuff around the house. Planted my flowers this week. Here's to hoping they make it. Lol! Tonight we have a BBQ. I didn't sleep well last night, so I'm going to get a quick nap in when I'm done here. Hope you all have a great day. Supposed to be 95* here tomorrow. Waaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!! I'm not ready for it!! Smiley Wink Have a happy Saturday, all! Oh!! And I bought everything at the store for hubby and me to do week long meal prep tmrw. Here's goes nothing! Smiley Wink

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Check In

Thanks for the PIYO tip, Ppprmint. I think this is a class my sis and I could do together. We're looking for a happy medium in our leisure styles. She's not a gym 'rat' so she doesn't want to meet me at the gym. She prefers long walks around her neighborhood and golf.

Way to move this week, G / P / V / M / B / F / N. Okay, my typing fingers are feeling lazy. Waiting for hub to get home. He's running around with grandson, going to nurseries looking for plants but I'm sure they'll stop at some places a five year old would love. Going for a bike ride later. We bought the little guy an 18" bike with painted flames and a bell on it to ride with us around a nearby lake path.

Volunteered at a homeless shelter this morning with friends. Cleaned and painted bathrooms for 5 hours. I actually came home and took a nap. Feeling so blessed to have shelter, food, friends, family, jobs and a comfortable life.

Hi all, I am new to this thread and see some other new folks, so I hope it's okay to join. I started exercising this past week and this thread seems inspiring.

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Check In

Hi everyone. I'm being lazy this morning, going to take Lucy out for a couple of miles but other than that, I might take today off...I haven't had a rest day in a long time and I know my body needs it. My stomach has been acting up so we'll see what the rest of the day holds.

I'm pretty sad which isn't helping anything, my bff's dad passed away last night so I need to get everything ready for us to go back for the funeral.

DH is up in PA with the kids so he has to drive back here today so we can head out tomorrow.

Welcome aprilskies!!! We love having new people join in!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I have a lot to do and it isn't getting done sitting here...lol. I guess my break-time is over.

Aprilskies, we'd loveto have you join us! Welcome.

Patty, I'm sorry to hear about bff's dad. It's so difficult to lose a parent.

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Check In

Hi everyone. I continue with my hopes of getting down to 131lbs.... that is my goal. Today I came in at 140.5 lbs. I am down about 3 pounds from last month. It is very hard for me to get past this set point of 140-ish.... my body seems to want to hold on to where I am. Even though for my height 140 is a perfect weight for me by the charts... I know I just feel best in my clothes at about 130. I am exercising 45 minutes of cardio 5 days a week, and doing strength training.. also just cutting back on portions and eating low carb. I have been using Walden Farms products with zero calories and that has helped a lot. I have about a month and was hoping to be at 131... but if I got to 135 I would be pleased.

Gazelle, you're doing good. Don't give up.

I did 90 min cardio today. I've never done that much. Today I had the time and I thought of everything Patty does. That made me keep on going! Thanks, Patty!
