Re: Weight loss / maintenance

I wish the husband and I were on the same team in regards to eating low carb, keto and IF, @JeanLouiseFinch.  It's not that he sets out to sabotage me but he has a stash of ice cream, candy and cookies.

@SilleeMee

So the incline is stuck there? haha, well better stuck on incline than flat!

I've looked into getting some cheaper treadmills for home use but a lot of those don't have an incline option and when flat I feel that I could practically walk all day without getting winded so I need the incline for a good workout. I actually find a steep incline harder than running and it's not so jarring on your joints.

With that steep of an incline it looks like you're get an amazing workout!

Weight Watchers.  I've been a free lifer since 2000 and still attend my weekly meeting.

I couldn't have done it without WW despite all its warts, changes and crazy CEOs.

I also exercise almost daily, whether it's a walk, gym workout, etc.  I can't exercise at a high capacity, but even gentler walking, cardio, yoga, etc. does something for the mental strength needed to keep me going.  The most beneficial exercise, for me, to keep the weight off is strength training.

Re: Weight loss / maintenance

I walk regularly thanks to my dog but I need to incorporate strength training now that I’m over 50. My mom’s arthritis has really progressed as she’s gotten older and I’d like to be proactive regarding that.

Re: Weight loss / maintenance

Three hours every morning on stationary bike before work while reading library books.  Climbing the stairs in my building during lunch hour.  I eat what I want but not in excess.

At 62 wear the same size as high school but things have shifted so to speak.

Wow @beckyb1012 that’s a long time to exercise every morning! I don’t think I could ever commit to that. It’s great that you do, though!
