I had an EMG yesterday and it confirms the results of my CAt Scan. Buldging L 4 disc which is casuing legs pain and soreness. The doctor suggested Lyrica as a medication to give me back the life I had. Has anyone taken it with good results and few side effects. Thank you all very much.

It doesn't matter what other peoples side effects were or weren't.  You need to make the decision for yourself and based on previous posts about various medications you had been presribed you should probably stay away from it.

@CelticCrafter DId you research my name, these medications are for totally different issues. I am having great success with Xarelto. Also what is the relationship between a headache med, a blood thinner and a nerve medicine?

I know someone who took it for spine issues and she said all it did for her was put her to sleep.

Since I'd  tried everything else, my doctor prescribed Lyrica for my severe lower back pain.  It made me so dizzy,  I literally fell down.  Never too another dose.

Put on 20 lbs, the one and only time I've gained weight from a RX med.

You need to weigh any possible side effects against your daily quality of life.

Plus research Lyrica thoroughly, including the percentages of people with each side effect.   If it's a low number, take that into consideration as well.

My rheumatologist had me try Lyrica years ago as an adjunct to possibly help with my fibromyalgia.

Regrettably did not help one way or another...I was anxious to get off of this drug.  Hope it offers you some relief.  I also have issues up and down my spine.  (ongoing)
