I'm just glad that this issue isn't a part of my New Year's resolutions anymore. I never had a weight issue until I developed lung cancer in 2004. My body broke and became very insulin resistant. My body could not handle injesting all those carbs anymore (sugars/grains) and the seed oils.
So for about 20 years I kept gaining weight no matter what I did to change the situation. I didn't want to believe injesting carbs was the problem (even fruits are bowls of sugar - fruit today are hybridized to be much more sweet - it is not the same fruit of thousands of yrs ago)...
...until I did.
Changing our lifestyle in 2018 was the key...
Having reached & maintained my goal weight after a 120+ lb loss is a great feeling.
I wish everyone the best if they are currently on a weight loss journey or about to start one. Have a support system in place. DH and I made our lifestyle change together.
