I ordered a home rowing machine from Amazon, and not because it's New Year's Day and I've suddenly decided to start exercising.😊
I already have an exercise bike that I use almost every day, and I go to a gym and use many of the machines there.
However, with the rise in Covid cases, I am wanting to exercise at home more. My gym only has one rowing machine (that I like) but it is often in use, and will probably be even more popular now that the holidays have come and gone.

Smart..........I've walked in a gym once - headed for the exit door due to the sweat odors.....(gag)...............
As one doctor on TV said:.... gyms are a petri dish for catching whatever is in there.

My gym is actually very clean. It's for residents of our community, only.
We all wipe down the machines we've used with disinfectant. I've also started doing this before I use a piece of equipment, for extra protection.
But this Covid surge is something else....I think after I get the rowing machine, I'll only use the treadmill at the gym, on bad weather days.

Good for you! I have always been an at home exerciser. My friends would always try to get me to join a gym or take spin classes but I would decline. I have many dvd's that I do (Leslie Sansone's Walk at Home) being my favorites. We also own a nice treadmill and we do walk outside sometimes. I like mixing it up, keeps me from getting bored with it. I also like to do it early in the day in my sweat pants with a messy head of hair, LOL!
I don't have to worry about looking presentable to go out of the house. Then I shower and get on with my day. I know many gyms are kept fairly clean but I have to say the other comment has truth to it........it's actually what you can't see that is pretty gross!
Good luck with the workout regimen ![]()

@LindaSal I just did a fairly challenging Leslie Sansone workout yesterday! Found it on YouTube. There are many good instructors with YouTube workouts. You just have to watch an ad or two.😊

I have just lost 70 lbs from walking....yes walking. It's free too. I have bought very warm clothes and off I go to walk, walk, walk. I do have an exercise room consisting of an elliptical machine and a treadmill. But I'd rather walk outside. Summer and winter.

My husband loves his rowing machine. Says it is most efficient way to work the arms/legs/back. He is a fitness buff and has other machines, but the rowing machine is his go-to most days.
Hope you enjoy yours. It's nice to change up what you do to keep fit. IMO, to stay fit you need to like/enjoy your activities so you continue to do something.

Congratulations! I have been lusting after a CityRow one but they are very expensive plus the app costs. I'm not in a long term home either so I'm saving the purchase for another day. I've stuck to my streaming videos like you for the time being for other things. Enjoy @september !

There are some high end machines, but I opted for a lighter weight, folding machine from Sunny Health and Fitness. As with my exercise bike, I'll be the only one using it, and I do like the portability of being able to move it from room to room.
since my bike folded up, it did make a cross-country move with me! In the past, I had an extremely heavy, gym quality bike that kept having problems. Sometimes, simple is better. 😊
