We bought a rowing machine in May of 2020 because the gym was closed and it's to hot to walk outside from April to November. It's the only piece of home exercise equipment that we continue to use. I still go to the gym for water aerobics 2-3 times a week and fill in rowing a couple of times a week.

@september  Rowing is great exercise!  Good for you getting your own machine!  I prefer to workout at home as well. Roll out of bed, coffee, & head down to my basement to get it done before I change my mind. LOL.  Let us know how you like it.  I want to see what you ordered on Amazon.  Never knew there were portable ones.  Good luck.

@september  thanks for posting!  please review it here when you've tried it out!  I like doing back exercises the best, and rowing will certainly stretch your lats out. I find compound exercises get the job done (for me) in the least amount of time.  Gotta love that!!

16 years ago I lost 100 pounds using a rowing machine. I think I rowed my way to Hawaii. 🤣 I was in serious shape. 💪🏼

Lol!  I didn't think in terms of distance, how far I can go with this.  

My machine should be here Thursday.  If it doesn't arrive too late in the day, it could get its first use that day. 

Reviews say it takes anywhere from 30-60 minutes to assemble.

My rowing machine was delivered Tuesday, two days early!  Thank you, Amazon.  

I wasn't really ready for it, but spent almost two hours yesterday, rescuing the machine from its very impressive packaging, bringing the pieces into the house, and putting it all together.  That was my most strenuous workout of this year, so far.  

Today, I did two separate 15 minute workouts, that went well.  The machine seems to work as well as the one at my gym. For now, it's set up in my office, where I have a tv....yep, I need to watch tv when I exercise.  😉

@september Awesome! I am making notes. I may join you if it was that easy to put together and it works well. Congratulations and I work out in front if the tv every day. It makes everything better. 👍🏻
