I have mentioned that I broke my shoulder, it's been about 6 weeks.  Just recently I started feeling ansy, restless, etc.  This is not my typical personality.   I am limited to what I can do since I am still in a sling a good part of the day and can lift nothing heavier than 1 lb.

I do some housework and I go into our office 1-2x a week.  Tomorrow I get to work, can't wait....but I am feeling restless, not like I need to so somewhere but agtitaged.  I am not arguing with my husband, it's hard to explain.  I feel this way mostly in the evening and when I go to bed, I am not sleeping well, but do not feel sleep deprived.

I see my surgeon for a follow up next Thursday and will ask him but thought I would mention it here, just in case someone understands what I am dealing with and how to maybe figure out what to do, thanks.

are you taking any pain meds ? if so it might be side effects. It's a good idea to discuss with your doctor.

@Mom2Dogs @Given what you are going through, feeling uneasy or agitated seems very normal or appropriate to me. I'd get really tired of the long recovery process. Hang in there! Take care of yourself and know that it will, in fact, heal and life will eventually return to normal.

@Goldengate8361   OK, this is not something I have experienced before...surgery or feeling ansy.  Appreciate the reply.

I felt that way after my knee replacement.  Especially in the afternoons.  I know what you mean it's hard to explain.  Aggravated on the inside.  Hang in there, it will get better.

You might actually be feeling depressed because of your broken shoulder and how it's affected your life.

Think of activities that you enjoy to get your mind off things -- even if it's something little like looking forward to drinking a mug of hot chocolate while watching your favorite tv shows -- or reading a cozy mystery.

Hang in there !

@Daisy Sunflower   I don't feel depressed but who knows?

My husband has not mentioned that I am any different, the 'feeling' typically hits at the evening and bedtime hours....thanks.
