@Mom2Dogs It's probably unspent energy.

@BoopOMatic   Could be, physical therapist asked me today about what I do at home...she was checking to see if I was overdoing it...which I was.  I have a really hard time sitting around, watching tv, reading, etc.  Good thing a friend gave me some books to read.

I did some housework and she gave me the 'eye' when I told her I did sweep my family room carpet, that was a 'no no'.  She told me I should not do that but gave me the ok to wash dishes, and do some cooking....no lifting.

I am extremely claustrophobic and if I had my arm in a sling most of the day and immobilized I would feel "antsy" too.

@Mom2Dogs  First, may I say, bless your heart. I don't know what's causing this feeling especially since I saw your reply to another post and you are off pain meds. I don't know your age bracket. We, as women, are phenomenal and we want to keep it that way. Your world has been shaken and maybe it's taking a little longer to get set right. Your sleep deprivation could certainly be the answer (it's very important for me). If you've never had a problem with this you need help. Are you regular on annual well checks? I'm a big believer of this and if I have any "extra" feelings during the year I call my PCP and he can generally advise me. A couple of years ago I had to endure several orthopedic surgeries and rehab was long but worth it. Primarily, I had to get it in my head ~ this is your life NOW. I can't ski the slopes I once did or maybe in your case swing from the monkey bars LOL. My PCP did put me on a mood elevator and balanced my hormones but I get out and play with my two year old great grandson and feel happy. I just know you will wake up one day feel your joy has returned - I sure hope so.

I am a 'little' claustrophobic and when I got married refused to wear the veil over my face, mom was not thrilled with me.  I told her I would be no less married if my face was covered or not.

My husband is very claustrophobic and can barely put a sweater over his head, so I understand what you are dealing with.

@Spacrazy    Thank you for the pep talk.  I am 68, this is my first big injury and hopefully last.

    Sorry, it appears as if I spelled it wrong...it's ANTSY

Ohhh, now that makes sense.

No worries. I try to pop in every day or two (especially in these cold temps) so holler at me anytime. In the meantime, just let it be...

 I have mentioned that I broke my shoulder, it's been about 6 weeks.  Just recently I started feeling ansy, restless, etc.  This is not my typical personality.   I am limited to what I can do since I am still in a sling a good part of the day and can lift nothing heavier than 1 lb.

I do some housework and I go into our office 1-2x a week.  Tomorrow I get to work, can't wait....but I am feeling restless, not like I need to so somewhere but agtitaged.  I am not arguing with my husband, it's hard to explain.  I feel this way mostly in the evening and when I go to bed, I am not sleeping well, but do not feel sleep deprived.

I see my surgeon for a follow up next Thursday and will ask him but thought I would mention it here, just in case someone understands what I am dealing with and how to maybe figure out what to do, thanks.

I am not a medical professional nor do I play one on tv. With that being said it sounds a bit like anxiety to me. Perhaps you can talk to your doctor about this feeling. I do recognize it as you described. Everyone is different though.
