No Mr. Rebates Code.
I could have used a code but I did not find one either. I did use Mr. Rebates. Just spent $200 on Andrew Lessman.

The 360 of the Vit K is gone already.
He wasn't kidding when he said it was limited.
I guess when Andrew says it vs Shannon, we should believe it. LOL

Since the July online shows and my physical/blood work in September, I've changed a couple of things.
I switched my multi from the HSN Women's Complete Max 100 to the ProCaps Women's Elite 100 Max, doubled my Vitamin D (from 2000 to 4000) and started doing those protein shots first thing in the morning and last thing at night.
First, I feel even better than I did before (and didn't think that was possible). My 3pm dip/nap has disappeared (I work from home and some days, I just need to go lay on my sofa for 15 minutes because I can't keep my eyes open).
Second, I've lost 9.8 lbs. This is a result of changes I made before my week long trip in July to tweak my eating.
On October 31 I will be celebrating 1 year since staring my Whole30 and switching to Primal Blueprint. I actually gained 15 lbs this year switching, but I felt so amazing that I was okay with that side effect as I knew it would be temporary as I got the hang of this thing.

re his tie
I will bet my next paycheck that he forgot his ties at home and bought this at the Tampa airport.
That is a very Florida tie.
I never thought of that - that he might have forgot his ties. Definitely a possibility. My first thought was that Muriel picked it out! lol...
Yes, the B complex is bundled with the TruQ10. That had me confused.
I tend to be deficient in B12 (although, thanks to supplementing, my labs are very good right now) and I wonder if the B12 included in the TS, along with what is included in HHS&N will be enough to keep it in the good range? I don't want to take an additional B12 supplement if I don't need it. I need to check my other supps, too, and see what my total amount of B12 from supps is per day.
@willdob3 both the standard COQ10 (ubiquinone) and the TruQ10 (ubiquinal) each include 100mg of B12 with them.
I think there is 200mg of B12 in his Essential-1 multivitamin and 500mg in his Elite multivitamin.
That said, I wouldn't worry about getting too much B12 because, short of getting injections, that's a hard thing to do.
The B12 molecule is five to ten times larger than all the other B Vitamin molecules. And that's what makes it so very difficult for the body to absorb. While Andrew's protected B12 makes it through the stomach safely, it still has to latch onto the corresponding receptor sites in the small intestine. of it's size B12 is essentially a bigger "key" that needs more receptor sites to latch onto. If a B12 molecule doesn't line up properly to all of the receptor sites, then the small intestine can't absorb it.
Basically a lot of even the best B12 never gets absorbed, so it would be really difficult to take too much B12 orally.

I know we can't get too much B12 (no side effects/toxicity issues to be concerned about) but I have taken enough that my levels come up high. That tells me I need less and was wasting money taking that amount.
I would love to save money and skip buying an additional B12 supplement. I know I become deficient if I do not get any supplemental B12. Finding the amount I need for an optimal level without an excess/waste of money is the issue.

I don't like the sizes of the bundles. Why isn't there an option that gives enough to last for a full year? That is annoying.

@CWS22 wrote:The studies I've been reading about today have me a little more than concerned about calcium supplements now. I keep seeing over and over again that getting calcium from your diet is fine but when you get it from supplements, that's a different issue.
Apparently supplemented calcium is not as well absorbed by the body and while I know magnesium is supposed to help with that, there still appears to be a real danger of having too much calcium coursing through our system. Some say it can collect in the arteries and harden them or attach itself to plaque in the arteries. And for the excess calcium flowing out through the urine, apparently kidney stones can be the result. For men, an excess of calcium can have negative effects on the prostate.
I would like to see Andrew address these concerns but I can't imagine him doing so as that would probably spook people away - just as it has me second-guessing whether I'll be on board tonight or not. I definitely will be getting the vitamin D3 though as I fully agree there are multiple benefits to keeping that level in the good range.
But the other thing I never considered regarding calcium is the amount of it that's contained in the "fortified" foods we eat every day. Non-dairy milks, oatmeal, breakfast cereals, breads, orange juice, etc. The soy milk I drink every day has 45% of the RDA of calcium in one cup. 45% is a lot, that's 450 mgs.
So all of these "fortified" amounts of calcium we consume are considered supplemental calcium as they are add-ons and not naturally occuring in these foods. Add those amounts to the mgs of calcium supplements a person takes daily. Then add in the calcium naturally occurring in foods (dairy products) and that's a considerable amount in total I would think.
Are you going to buy the K2-MK7 to take with the D3? I am. I have been taking D3 but no K2. From what I read you need to take K2 if you take D3 to keep it from hardening your arteries. I read you need to take 180-200 mcg. Andrew's product only has 50 mcg of K2, 50 mcg K1 & 100 mcg K-Complex. I use almond milk, cashew milk & coconut milk. My calcium level is where it needs to be so I'm passing on that.
I wonder if Andrew discusses the reason his has only 50mcg? It may be the the form/delivery method he uses is better. Much of the time higher amounts are recommended because they know some will be destroyed/not absorbed. Not sure if that is the case here.

FYI, the "savings" numbers involve a bit of slight of hand becasue they are based on the HSN regular prices which are always more expensive than if you had bought them directly through Procaps Labs. -- That said, I think they are still about 30% less than the day to day prices at Procaps Labs. -- bebe ![]()

I am not quite sure which amount of D3 I really need. I used to be morbidly obese & I knew I needed higher amounts of D3 because of that. I'm no longer obese so I need less but I really think most of us still will need the higher amount. What I needed before was higher than the 2500 IU. So maybe taking just the one serviing of D3 per day will be enough for me now.
...Then again, D3 needs to be in proper ratio with magnesium & I need to take magnesium 4 times per day to feel my best. All this optimal health stuff is hard work.
I know there once was a time when just eating healthy & being active was natural and enough. Not really in my lifetime though. Not as an adult. It seems like my full time job. But it is worth the effort.

I am not out of calcium so I may wait until late in the day to order the TS in hopes of getting on waitlist/extended delivery.

That's where I am, too.
Last November I had my bloodwork done and I was in the 40s. I added 2000 a day and my new bloodwork has me in the 30s.
I think it was a combination of change in labs, weight gain and not being outside at all this year vs previous year.
I bumped up to 4000 after I got my labs back, so I will see where I am next year and revisit.
