I'd say that is a good thing. So many virus cases in our state are traced back to travel. The local news teams stipulate out of state travel in nearly every broadcast.
I'm a regular participant in a frequent flyer forum - people who routinely fly hundreds of thousands of butt-in-seat miles every year, and believe me, of the folks that participate there, absolutely no one is traveling for fun right now. The few that are flying are doing so because they need to. Whatever they do for a living that requires them to travel is deemed essential, and it's a lot quicker and more efficient to fly LAX-ATL than drive. Capacity has been slashed. City pairs that I've frequented that had 8 options a day now only have 1. Some days everything is cancelled. My airline of choice, Delta, has had 21,000 employees take voluntary furloughs, and they'll still have to lay off thousands. No one is going to be forced to get on an airplane, but they need to keep flying for the folks that need them.
