Survivor is back with an all-star season! I'm not sure if that'll be good or bad, but we'll have to see. You just know a whole lot of private deals and arrangements were made before they ever got on the island. Some deals are kind of automatic like with Boston Rob and Amber. A married couple with both back is a real power couple on Survivor. You have to assume they won't turn on one another. They have to assume they'll be big targets, so they're apt to be looking for allies. Do you join with them, or try to take them down?
It's going to be tough as viewers to know who's truly allied with who as they've all had some contact with each other over the years and almost certainly made deals once they knew they were coming back.
There's yet another new twist this year. Every player gets fire tokens. They all start out with one but can trade for more or maybe win/find more. When they get voted out, they put their fire tokens into a bag for another player of their choosing before they depart for extinction island. Once on extinction, they can then reportedly earn/find things that will benefit those still in the game and can then offer that benefit to a player of their choosing in exchange for fire tokens that might help them get back in the game later. Yeah, it's all a bit confusing. Suffice to say we'll see a lot of the players on extinction island this time around. Players still in the game can use tokens to buy coffee and pastries (3 tokens,) a bag of beans (4 tokens,) a bag of rice (5 tokens), an advantage at the next challenge (4 tokens), two pillows and two blankies (4 tokens) and a tarp at five tokens.
It should be a fun season. It may be a bit confusing and confounding, but we'll have to see. Anyway, I'll be watching.

When Surviver first premiered my son was 8 years old. That was 20 years ago. I can't believe it's still on the air.
We were avid fans for about the first 10 years. After that we stopped watching. It became very formula. We got tired of watching.

Wooohooooo! I'm looking forward to the start of this season. Hopefully it will be a great entertaining season since they are all past winners and know how to get it done! I hope the editing of the show isn't just nonstop Rob and Amber drama. I like both of them separately but don't want to see them all the time. I don't remember some of these winners eventhough I've watched each season so some must not have been very memorable to me.

I like that they are mostly middle age. That alone should be interesting. My gut says this is going to be a fun season. Sandra doesn't want to lose that 2 time winner title.

I might take a pass for the first time since the show began. Or maybe get on board halfway through. Just because I liked it better when the game was just about the survivors surviving minus stuff like getting sent to extra islands and all the other cr*p somebody dreams up. The past season w/Sandra & Boston Rob a perfect example of wasted & boring time out of the show. Just IMO of course.

I'm really not looking forward to this season. I'm hope it turns out much better than what my current expectations are. Over the years Survivor has gotten to the point where the day after the finale I forget you actually won. Here's hoping this is a better season.

And just in case I wasn't clear enough...
I'm So Excited!
