When I posted on this thread it was 3 weeks ago
and I think things are getting better now which is great.
My view is there are patterns and since we can see them
then the moderators can see them as well
and they know better than I do how they'll deal with it all.
It's their job not mine lol.☺️
Since this is a forum with QVC's name on it I think
they finally started paying attention to how bad some of
the nasty posting looks as its representing QVC and their
standards and the negative things don't look good for the Q.
It's not hard for adults to talk in a
polite way.😊

No harm in talking about it, but t seems to me the moderators already have addressed the issue of discussions being taken off-topic. In their "Community Guidelines" (which they've said are not a replacement of the Standards for Participation, which haven't changed, but are an attempt to further explain them), this is included:

Without getting into numbers of warnings and so on and so forth, I absolutely agree that more times than not removing posts is preferable to deleting an entire thread or shutting it down to further comment.
Personally, I believe the instances where posters are actively trying to control the boards or the moderators... (careful, or this will be added as an 'explanation' for removing posts...) in order to get a thread deleted are minimal. I do think some threads and hence posts get out of hand based on the vehemence of convictions.

Depending on the software being used here, the moderators may or may not be able to remove individual posts if they end up being replies to replies. For example, if a post is removed, it may also pull along all the posts that were replies to that post so that portion of a thread gets hidden by default.

What I have noticed is that threads are started that innately are against the rules--current event, controversial, religion, politics, other websites. The Q should review all threads at the beginning and cut those off before they even appear. That would put an end to most thread removals. Not as many threads are being started now so it wouldn't be a lot of work.

I agree, no harm in talking about it, especially since this IS the suggestion box which the very name indicates they are asking for suggestions. And if you really think about it, by making suggestions of any kind, aren't we trying to tell someone somewhere how to do their job? We can all use suggestions on how to do things better, right? No one is perfect. ![]()

I have written my thoughts, in great detail, regarding:
It's a sad day for this so-called "Community" and I have said so.

Yes. Standard are unevenly applied, and that is a fact.

My goodness - how prophetic my OP was.
So very, very disappointed that nothing whatever has changed.
It sounds like you have a very specific idea in mind about how a forum should work and be run. Have you thought about starting your own board? No snark -- I mean it, sincerely.
Something to think about. :-)
