PLEASE PLEASE QVC.    iTEMS THAT ARE NOT MADE IN THE USA...PLEASE MARK THE COUNTRY WHERE THEY ARE FROM /MADE /ORIGIN ....INSTEAD OF THE AMBIGUOUS " IMPORTED".

THE CUSTOMER HAS A RIGHT TO KNOW PRIOR TO PURCHASING. CLEARLY, WITH EVERY MANUFACTURER, THE COUNTRY OF ORIGIN IS LABLED ON GARMENTS ETC.  PLEASE PROVIDE THIS INFORMATION IN THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION.

I'm sure they won't because they would lose even more sales if they let us know it was from China.

@Hoping for the best

When it only says “imported” and not from where, I assume it is from a country many would refuse to buy from. Otherwise, the country would be stated.

I think all companies are doing that.  I don't think it is exclusive to QVC, as I have recently noted.

It's obvious to most consumers, and as others have said here what that really means...I worked for a small shop, worked on their website writing copy for the items they sold and whenever something was made in China, we put "imported." I don't think it fools many people...maybe it's like the 9.99 sounds better than $10 thing...subconsciously it works, in a way. But I'm with OP...at the end of the day...it's marketing spin, or in other words, plain ole bs.

@Hoping for the best    It makes no difference to me.  Why do you care.

I think merchandise comes to the Q marked “ imported” and they may not even know the country of origin. Also sometimes one label may be made in several countries so they just use
“imported” to cover the bases. I also would like to know in which country an item I consider purchasing is made.

I agree.  I no longer want to purchase items made in China.
