I agree with you.  I was never a LR fan.  For me, shopping is about the merchandise, not the hosts.  I'm not going to buy something just because a certain host is on there.  LR helped QVC become more about the hosts instead of the products they were/are there to sell.

I would be willing to bet. That the majority of people if they like a certain sales clerk in a store, they are more then likely to shop there when that sales clerk is working and do not shop at that store when sales clerks they do not like are working. The same applies to watching and shopping at QVC. I know for me there is nothing QVC sales I need bad enough to sit and watch a show hosted by a host I do not like.

Whether I like the salesclerk or not, that doesn't make me want to spend my money.  I shop because I want the merchandise.  LOL, now if the salesclerk/host is someone that's particularly annoying, I won't even window shop.

Maybe we could start a petition!!!!

A while back my gym fired a very popular Zumba instructor and all the members signed a petition to get her back.  They ended up getting 500 plus signatures!!! Several weeks later they hired her back and a local magazine even ran a story on it.  I'd say we could get way more than 500 signatures for for Lisa!! Smiley Very Happy

Re: Bring Back Lisa Robertson!

I shop for merchandise at a fair price.  I don't really care who is selling it.  I actually don't watch live QVC.  And I have no clue who the hosts are.  Once I knew them all.. friends... I was lead to believe.  Actually in truth not the case.. they were being paid to make me feel that way.  As for Lisa, I wish her well but as in all the hosts of the past past who I might remember or not, she will find something else to do and eventually the next generation of viewers will not know who is or was.

What part of 'Lisa would rather slash her wrists than return to QVC as a host' do you not "get?" She has said multiple times she has no desire to return, and she disses QVC in her little video chats. She's not only burned her host bridges, she continues to stomp on the embers.

Maybe if the CEO was booted out (you could start a petition for that too) and they offered her double her old earnings for working one day a week. Yeah...

@CalminHeart

Totally agree with you.  Love to have a greater variety of products.  And I wish they would figure out a shipping policy that might include a shopping cart.  Not going to happen but once I believe HSN offered a plan.  Could be wrong on that one.  Also I hold no allegiance to any of the hosts.  My favorite is long gone and after she left I watched less and less until I no longer watch the Q live.  (yes, it was Kathy Levine)

Re: Bring Back Lisa Robertson!

In my opinion, Lisa Robertson and Kathy Levine were the best hosts QVC ever had. I believe their sales numbers were quite high. Both were amusing and fun to watch. Lately, however, the changes at QVC have kept me away. When they got rid of several designer lines and decided to offer their own lines, they might have made more money but they lost many of us who wanted quality over quantity. And as far as cosmetics go, I can buy them online, with free shipping and free samples with every order. For small appliances, I can do better locally, using store coupons or waiting for sales, something QVC never has.

These are only my personal observations and opinions. Others may disagree. However, QVC earnings have been flat. If they want to succeed long term they need to bring in new products and attract new viewers. An hour of mattresses, oversized tee shirts, and the same old stuff with no incentives to buy will not do it anymore.

I agree with the OP.  Monday nights are now a disaster totally.  Haven't watched since the first Monday and only lasted halfway through the first hour.  The host that is on most evenings is truly unbelievable.  Products are now "stuff" dollars are "bucks".  The too small clothing is autrocious for a fashion show - no matter what the designers tell her about THEIR clothing.  She's on again later in the week at night selling beauty.  I can't honestly believe it.  The first hour is taken up with nonstock jabbering and someone running around.  The shows had some decorum now we have classless nonsense and outfits on the one particular host that are never QVC products.  Last Monday Jennifer was wearing the products she's selling.  This now is apparently a novel idea.   It's the first time I've watched since the new lineup was introduced.  I don't want all the words dumbed down into one syllable and handbags and shoes are not people to be referred to as "she".  This is all crazy.

I totally agree with you on all points.  It is particularly strange that this host will sometimes wear her own ODD clothing choices, and then she may put on a jacket or cardigan that she is selling, but it is too small and yet she will pass it off as her normal size.

Re: Bring Back Lisa Robertson!

It will hopefully get better as we get closer to Xmas, but it has seemed to me lately that whenever I turn QVC on, no matter the day or time of day, except for ITKWD it's become the All Clothing and Cosmetics Channel, All the Time - in which I have pretty much zero interest. It seems they are heading in that direction as believing their profits lie only there. We shall see.

Re: Bring Back Lisa Robertson!

Bringing back Lisa would be like bringing back the VCR or the Pet Rock... they were all  big hits at one time......   now no longer needed or relevant.
