If I wanted a whitewash finish, I'd do it myself. I'd take a light color like oak and paint it with diluted white paint, rubbing it off with a cloth before it dried, leaving as much white as I wanted. Work on a small area at a time. Practice on an old piece of wood first.

Why pay for an item and then have to redo it?

I ordered this in white several yrs ago. It is 3 shades of white...pure white, a bluish white, & a grayish white. I was so upset over this & intended to repaint. It would have been cheaper to repaint than to return. I kept it & never got around to repainting, but everytime I look at it, I notice it. VERY unhappy!!
