I've been looking for a nice warm bed jacket for a couple of years.  All I find are these lightweight ones which won't serve the purpose for me.  I like to sleep in sleeveless gowns but I like my bedroom a little cool for sleeping.  When I prop up in bed to read, the bed jacket would keep my arms warm.  My robe is too long to be comfortable in bed.  Carol Hockman's material is too light.

I discovered the comfort of bed jackets 3 years ago. They are perfect over pjs or lounge sets. I can have company or answer the door and be covered. I have the cozy ones too but got mine from Dillards at the end of the season for $7.50 on clearance. Best buy ever.

The Vermont Country Store has several types of bed jackets.  They have free shipping right now.

Check out ebay. Lots of choices, including a couple by Carol Hochman and Stan Herman.

I have never heard of a bed jacket.  Had to Google it. hidemf3.gif

@Mz iMac, Oh, you need a nice, toasty bed jacket!  Once you own one you'll wonder how you ever did without it!

@Its Me LuLuBelle2

Once I saw the bed jacket pictures, they reminded me of the old black & white movies showing married couples sleeping in separate beds.  The women were always sitting up in bed w/a bed jacket on.  Now that I know what they look like, I am going to check my local B&M stores to see if they sell them.

I must say a bed jacket will never replace my ratty old embroidered thick terry cloth long robe. Smiley LOL

@Mz iMac, you're absolutely spot on about those old movies - all the glamour of the lingerie and bed wear!

And naturally a bed jacket will never replace the old ratty robe!   I have a sweater that has no elbows left and is just shot.  I have to hide it so DH won't throw it out.  Come visit sometime and chances are good you'll be greeted at the door with me wearing my favorite piece of clothing looking worse than a bag lady.  We love what we love.

Re: Bed Jackets Please!

Yes!  A soft fleece bed jacket.  With removable hood. Or maybe even a choice of: with attached hood or with removable hood.  Perfect for cold evenings.  I have a very soft, lightweight attached hooded sweater that I use as a bed jacket.  It's so worn out from washing it a few times each week. (I also wash/change my pillowcases each day, lol.)  I've been looking for another similar hooded lightweight bed jacket / (slash) sweater.  Wish I would have bought several, knowing what I know now, using it a a bed jacket............
