I don't understand the need to carry a handbag that 2-3 times the size of a diaper bag. My overnighter is smaller than some of these handbags that are coming out.

The weight must be incredible, can you imagine what your back would say to you?

Yes, they are trending now but really?

The woman that came into my store recently had a handbag that seriously if she put against her upper body, should could hide behind.

It was just years ago that smaller crossbody bags were trending and now the opposite, it's almost to the point, how big can they make these and still have great sales.

For me, max is approx. 15" x 12 x 5" ....if I can't carry it in that amount of space, it doesn't need to be taken.

Okay. I won't force you to carry a large tote bag.

I don't know why women carry such large bags either. Are they really full of stuff, or do they just like the look of a big bag? What is in there?

I say go ahead and carry a suitcase size handbag, and don't forget to leave home in your four inch heels.

There are Orthopedic doctors out there just waiting for your business - those bad backs, painful shoulders and bunions are going to make them rich in the future, assuming that the new healthcare laws don't prohibit helping people with those injuries.

Exactly! I personally don't like those small, tiny bags. Makes me feel and look like I'm a toddler. Not everything is for everyone. That's what makes this world so special.

I am pretty sure I read is several different places that the trend of huge handbags is over. The handbag manufacturers have to switch up the "in" thing now and then to move more product. I thought smaller, chevron type bags were supposed to take over. I don't know... I don't read Vogue.

That's what I call them. A Suitcase. I hate carrying a handbag. Even your 15 x 12 x 5 is too large for me. I prefer something around a 12 x 9 x 5 size. When I leave the house by myself I carry a handbag. If DH is with me I don't even take one.
