@shortbreadlover @It sounds really good.Since we don’t use msg or much salt I googled and found a recipe for the spices in onion soup mix...very simple to mix up and have on hand.Thanks for sharing.

Agree.  Dad had to watch/lower his sodium intake.  Whenever a recipe called for "adding a can of soup" or adding Lipton soup mix I'd google the recipes for those and use "powdered versions" of them, e.g. instead of garlic salt, celery salt or seasoned salt use garlic powder, etc.  OR I'd use 1/4 the quantity of the salt version and 3/4 of the powder to greatly lower salt content.  That will keep in your pantry but I've also googled and made a much healthier version of condensed soup often called for in recipes.
