Good morning!
asking you all to keep us in your prayers.
DH tested positive yesty. So far I am negative.
sadly we exposed our kids Sat night when we were together watching the Bills clinch the division title for the first time since 1995!
(Ha d to toss that in there, hee)
I am very sad because our Christmas is cancelled but thankfully so far DH doesn't have it too bad. Severe headaches and lots of coughing but no fever.
we have moved him to the basement so I hopefully will remain negative. Quarantined for two weeks.
The kids will all get tested in a couple days from exposure. Pls pray they are negative as well.
I have never had two weeks off in a row, but I always planned once I did, I would be in Hawaii!

@RespectLife I am so sorry. Prayers are being prayed.
I hope he feels better soon. Is there a TV in the basement???? Now you need to go to the kitchen and make some soup. Make sure you have plenty of beverages on hand so that he stays well hydrated, sodas, water, broth, hot toddies, I mean tea.
You can get a pulse oximeter from Amazon very reasonably if you want to keep an eye on his O2 levels.(I like the one that starts with a Z)
Blessings to all of you. Sending hugs! Christmas will happen when all of you are able to be together again.![]()

Our basement is completely finished. It was our Covid project last March when his school was closed.
Dining table, fridge, microwave, keurig, huge sectional, giant TV. Skee ball and Pac man should he get bored.
We did Weg delivery and should be all set with all the meds and supplements needed.

@RespectLife It sounds like you are set. My niece had some bad days but she is feeling good now.

Yes, thanks, I think we are all set.
My sis is in her 12th day and still running a fever. She can't seem to shake it. Her cough is still bad. She said the worse of it is the boredom! Lol
Her hub was pretty much over it in 3 days. Gosh, it is different for everyone.

@tiny 2 wrote:@Writer with Flair Most people around here are using their leisure time to help out. We have people that have never been homeless in tents in parks. Some have been working to help get little heaters to them and food.
We also have little thugs going through neighborhoods and grabbing packages off porches and the ones that go around 3:30 in the morning trying to get into cars. Quite a few of the porch pirates have been caught because of the doorbell videos and cameras. They seem to be hitting the condo /townhome neighborhoods for the packages. They are not having much luck catching people doing the car break ins. Usually they try the door and if it is locked then they move on to the next house.
tiny 2,
God bless you and all the other dear people who have been getting heaters and food to people in need. Hats, socks, blankets, and gloves can be helpful.
There also have been people stealing packages from people's front porches in our area. Two such people split up and started working both sides of a street. Then, they had the nerve to come back and do the same thing over again on another day. Can you believe it?
As in your area, there have been thefts from cars that were unlocked with valuables clearly visible from the outside of the car. I haven't heard anything in a while about people actually breaking windows to get in cars.

@Writer with Flair wrote:Please remember my friend, Martha in your prayers. She has had a lot of complications since her surgery and has been back in and out of the hospital a couple of times.
The pain has been horrible, her legs and feet have swollen a lot and her blood sugar (which has not been a problem prior before the surgery) has gotten really high for some reason.
@Writer with Flair I was just wondering how your friend is doing and if she has received any explanation for these symptoms. I do hope there has been some healing and improvement for her. I will keep her in my prayers. I'm sorry I forgot to mention her in my last post.
tiny 2,
Thank you so much for asking about Martha. She really has had a time of it. Currently, she's at home with medical support people (Overnight Nurse, Speech Pathologist, Physical Therapist, etc.) coming in.
The rise in blood sugar came from the high glucose nutrition i.v. she has been receiving since she still has had trouble swallowing. The swelling in her feet has gone down some. I think she has been on a diuretic for that.
Martha had a follow-up visit with the PA recently. She was able to walk into the office with a walker but became terribly exhausted. She came out in a wheel chair, I believe. She is extremely tired and her endurance is shot.
On the way to the car and after she got home, Martha had trouble breathing and said things that did not make sense (and she knew it did not make sense). Martha had an oximeter but they did not think to use it to check her oxygen level. Her daughter called 911. By the time the EMTs got there, her breathing was better and her BP was a little high. Her daughter gave her a shot of insulin as well. (She did not mention if her glucose had been measured by the ENTs. I'm assuming somebody measured it.)
Because of the large number of Covid patients in hospitals in our area, they are trying to keep Martha at home. I would like to see her get a full work-up including electrolytes.
Martha is not able to talk much because her voice was affected by the surgery.
Thank you so much for keeping Martha in your thoughts and prayers.

Respect,
I am so sorry to hear that your DH has Covid. We are praying that neither you nor the kids gets it and that DH quickly gets better.
I agree with you. If I had to choose between a two week-vacation in Hawaii and two weeks in quarantine for Covid, I'd definitely go with the Hawaii thing. Maybe you and DH should plan a Hawaii trip after this virus stuff is over. In the meantime, I saw the following

Mustang, Mtc, VaBelle, Chili, Novamc, and Honeybit,
You all have been on my mind. It seems like there are so many more challenges in people's lives right now. Praying that all goes well with you, your loved ones, and all the many "Quick Pot Sticker Soup" friends out there.

Good morning!
We will continue to pray for dear Martha!
My sis is finally doing better, no spikes in fever at all yesty.
DH is doing okay, biggest thing now besides the cough is extreme body aches. Mostly upper body. He texted with his doc last night and he is going to switch it up with Advil and Tylenol. Still no fever! And didn't loss taste of smell.
However, my son and DIL tested positive yesty. Please pray for them, esp my DIL. She has asthma and we are concerned about that.
They are trying their best with a baby and child, to keep them safe.
Please also pray my daughter continues to be symptom free. Her test is on the 26th. As of yesty, still no issues.
May HE keep you all safe and healthy!!! Hugs!
