Exactly. My complaint isn't about the actual shipping. My complaint is that the items are NOT shipped. They are preparing my order.
And when they send me an email that the item has SHIPPED it has NOT shipped....they have made a shipping label!!!  The item is not in the hands of UPS.
I pay for upgrade from UPS so nothing goes USPS. But UPS doesn't even get the items.They are still at QVC with a label created!!!!!
All of this is past the date I was, according to QVC, supposed to have the items.

Once I see the item sitting at QVC with a label created but unshipped, I have concerns.
I find myself wondering if they even have the item in stock and this is  a delay until they get more stock.  
Two weeks ago I ordered an item from Corkys that my son wnated for his birthday. They were immediately "preparing my order".  After I ordered it and my son went home. they changed the status to BACKORDERED. Unavailable! 
They never used to do that. 
It seems this company is in turmoil.
I don't trust them anymore.

I want to be able to cancel our orders if we are not going to receive it in a timely fashion. It wasn't always pushed immediately to "preparing your order" status. I remember not that long ago, you could still go in and cancel something within a day or two. That option needs to still be viable or customer service needs to be able to tell you if the item is in stock and available to ship in a timeframe that is suitable.

 

This is an upper management fail by not communicating with their team members on how to handle the situation as it appears to be getting worse.

My 4 orders from the 22nd have gone from "preparing your order" back to "in process" meaning that I can cancel them if I want to.  I'll need to think about it.

ps:  I don't think qvc is using mail innovations anymore, a USPS service, for delivery, which is NOT what we are complaining about.  They did use innovations for many years in the past.  I had 3 deliveries in January, all by UPS, no innovation.  Someone posted QVC no longer uses USPS mail innovations for delivery, which is consistent with my experience.  But delivery is not the complaint by the OP.  The complaint is that QVC is taking weeks to get the merchandise out.

 

Hope we get an explanation.  Maybe QVC cut too many inventory and customer service people.

 


@NYCLatinaMe  I have experienced both.  For instance, my order on Feb 18. Was sent out 10 days later. All that time it is preparing. lol. Today is March 7, and still not here. Been traveling 7 days.  I am convinced it is because they are not getting orders to vendors to send out.  I have trouble with returns as well Last one took a few weeks for credit. It took almost 2 weeks for qvc to say they received it back, then another week still not credited. I called, they refunded right away. It was a few hundred dollars. I rarely return anything. Maybe twice a year. Don't order much either, if it is something I can buy elsewhere, I go there. I noticed when I returned an item last week, it the label had TWO return companies on label. Top said USPS.. BOTTOM SAID ..UPS. We didn't know where to even take it, lol. It was one label, not one with options. USPS told me they go so far,  and UPS takes over. Whatever they use it is DOO DOO

@ajsidney12   I agree, it makes me mad. I shoukd be able to cancel if they aren't sending out on time.  I am used to receiving all my other purchases elsewhere in 4-5 days MAX.  Sometimes I need an item for gift, or a get a way.  However, I do notice, if I pay extra and order expedited shipping it comes quick, as stated

Just updating - My February 23 order for 9 items (all clothing and Kessenberg handbags, all but a pair of Me pants on clearance) was still being prepared yesterday.  Now, one clearance item has been designated backorder, and a second item is now "in process".  

 

Is "in process" closer to being shipped than preparing?  I don't recall the difference.  

 

An item I ordered on February 26 (a new logo top) is still being prepared.

 

Of my March 3 order for 3 items, 2 clearance items were shipped today (hooray!) via UPS (from PA, not a faraway land) and delivery is expected on Saturday.  A third item, the big deal revitallign sandal, was placed on backorder.

 

I wanted to order a sale item yesterday but I think I will hold back until all my items are shipped.  

 

This non-delivery crisis makes me fear the worst.

@ajsidney12  A customer rep I spoke with told me that if the original delivery estimate has passed, the order can be cancelled.  I think one would have to call customer service.  Someone else mentioned that if they deliver after we cancel, we can return at their expense.  Not exactly generous, since qvc is expecting its customers to go through the trouble of returning an order we had to cancel because they couldn't meet their commitement to customers.  I intend to wait at least a few days more, see if they can get their act together.

@NYCLatinaMe "in process" is the initial stage, meaning that the order can still be canceled.  After my estimated delivery date passed, all 4 of my orders automatically went from "preparing your order" back to "in process", meaning that I could cancel them if I chose to.  I did not.  Now 3 are back to "preparing your order" and one is on back order status.

Thanks for the explanation.  I just realized all my items that haven't shipped are "in process".  I was looking at the list of all items ordered, where I saw "preparing".  But if I go to the individual order, the items say "in process."  So different status for same order depending where one looks.
