@Melania, there is no s/h break at all if you order multiple items. Ever since QVC started the new s/h rates, they no longer discount s/h on subsequent orders.
HSN does but the s/h is higher so even half price on subsequent orders really starts to add up.

Lipstick, thanks for pointing that out.
So here it is $3 for every item we buy, am I understanding you?
HSN does seem to offer more free shipping though. I very rarely see it here. But you're right most of their clothes are higher shipping. last night I saw a G jacket for $8.23 s/h.

$3 for clothes when you buy quite a bit adds up and not always a break on multiple items.
An expensive piece of jewelry may have more insurance hence the higher rate. It's no need to accuse the Q of being cheap. Doesn't matter if it's expensive....it's their prerogative and yours not to buy it. Easy peasy.
"...by this one" ???? I am a person.
And I'll post about whatever I want to post about, or not post about or be outraged about. What's it to you?.
You are surely obsessed with me.

This thread has brought to mind an experience I once had in a local jewelry store. I was purchasing a $2,800 diamond ring and, while they were getting all the paperwork on it, I rummaged through a basket of sterling silver jewelry in little plastic bags from $5 up through $30. I chose a beutiful pair of earrings for $30 (which would sell for probably $70 -$80 on QVC). I thought the earrings were a great bargain. When the clerk came back with the paperwork and started to ring up my expensive purchase, I asked her to please add the earrings. She said "oh, you can have those." and just added them onto my receipt indicating zero charge for them.
Now that's how to do business! And not being cheap. She could have gotten another $30 from me - I certainly didn't expect the earrings for free. And this is a small, family-owned business, not a multimillion dollar company.

Even eBay "strongly recommends" that the sellers give free shipping! I mean strongly recommends so that it has become one of the elements they require in order to qualify for TOP RATED SELLER!! Now mind you, no seller on eBay works for eBay, sellers are independent sellers and use eBay as a forum for their sales. Many are like me, small Mom & Pop Sellers who really can't afford to offer free shipping and still keep our prices down.... but customers expect it~!
So if I can give free shipping on everything I sell (and some things are large and heavy).... eBay can certainly offer free shipping!!
BTW.... Ming pearls (if you get a strand of good ones) are exquisite! DH bought me the 18" for my last birthday (a milestone and most grateful I made it!!)..... and they are worth every penny, they are gorgeous! ![]()

And I would bet my last dollar that every seller takes that "free shipping" into consideration when they set the prices for their items.

@Lipstickdiva That may very well be. But psychologically it's still better to offer "free S&H" than to nickel and dime someone out of $5 S&H who just spent $1600 on a necklace. The local jeweler who gave me the earrings didn't include their cost in the price charged for the expensive ring when setting the price for that ring. That jeweler was just engaging in good business fostering good customer relations, treating me well so that I come back.

Agreed. Never understood commenting on a post to complain about said post. If you don't want to hear it or think it's redundant don't click it on it. That's easy peasy as well. It's called a selective response.
