I don't think a day goes by where a few here don't report somebody. It is not their job and I think they have issues. I wish they would get banned for abusing this and let the moderators do their job. They seem to handle the job quite well.

@SuhseKYou gave an obvious example of what is OK and what is not. However there is subjectivity involved and "gray areas" about what would get poofed. The mods are human and there are several of them
Therefore there is not 100% consistency in what gets poofed, due to the subjectivity element of deciding what to delete.

Also I am leery when a poster posts "I think we all know...." since no, people really can't speak for others about what they do or don't know.----------

Good points!

You're right, we can only speak, for ourselves.

@RetRN "It's not their job and they have issues?" That's very unkind.

The Mods do (I think) poof posts on their
own without the posts being reported. However I don't think the Social Team staff is big enough to do customer service work and still read every single post on the board. It may also take them a while to see a TOU violation post such as a political comment or a spam solicitation so many people could see it before a mod gets to it. If posters aren't supposed to report TOU vioation posts then the board shouldn't have a Report Abuse function. Apparently QVC doesn't feel like it is an intrusion on the mods' job, as you do, or there wouldn't be a Report Abuse function. And as someone pointed out, reporting posts to the Social Team too much, too often can result in banning.
