In the Kitchen with you know who

Why so many In the Kitchen with David shows all the time? I know he has a huge following buy I am not one of those. Seems like on the various channels he is always on one and today he is on two, which limits my viewing.

And in case someone quips, turn it off, or get a live etc, let me say I like to have QVC on in the background while I do other things because I do not have to concentrate on it necessarily but can zoom in when something is of interest.

@Whosits

On the other hand, if David is missing for a couple of shows, there's a plethora of threads asking why he missing.

@Whosits You have to take the good with the bad when watching shopping channels.  Everyone has their favorite and least favorite hosts.  The highest selling hosts will be on the most.  Simple business model.  If it becomes an issue perhaps you can go to another shopping channel for background noise.

@Whosits IMO David, who I like but don't watch ALL of his shows, is a great salesman. If you've got a guy who can sell, then give him lots of opportunities (shows) to do so. Easy peasy. Makes sense.

It could also be that with the pandemic sales of food and kitchen items are the most profitable. With people staying home more I bet sales of makeup and clothing have been flat or declining.

Because when he is on, he sells product.

Re: In the Kitchen with you know who

In the Kitchen With David is on twice a week.  I don't mind watching him on reruns in the middle of the night when I can't sleep as long as its a kitchen show and not a food show.

I would much rather watch him than some others but too each their own.

Clearly if he didn't sell, he would not be on.  I have to remind myself of that very thing when a couple of others are on that I don't care for.

@Whosits I think you answered your own question.  David has a huge following.  It makes business sense to use his hours on the air as much as possible.

Another answer could be that you notice when he's on because he's not your favorite and you wish he weren't on.

I know that when I do want to watch and it's a host or brand I don't care for, I'd rather watch paint dry than stay and watch QVC.

Plus, he is the only host who had an article written about him in the NYT.

Maybe try music or the radio for background noise
