@Chi-town girl If I use caps, it’s not shouting, it’s for emphasis. I rarely get that worked up that I need to shout.

Ya know, instead of using all caps to emphasize, you can underline, bold, and use italics. It's kinda fun.

@tototwo No offense meant, but each person has their own style of writing. With me, my brain is much faster than my typing...many of my posts are edited for that reason. I’d rather just use caps for a word or two than go to to the top, choose bold, italics, underline, etc. I hope you won’t mind, but thanks for the suggestion.
***I already choose “blue” before beginning a post so I can more easily find them to reply.

@Peaches McPheeand all other posters : I have thanked responses in one invidiual post such as "Thank you ladies for all your replies". I have not thanked each post individually. I just heart each response. However, I was not aware that thanking posters "gums the thread up".

I check back for at least a week to see if anyone has added to the discussion, and I heart most posts (not the snarky ones) to acknowledge and "thank" the poster for having contributed to my thread.
Once my thread is kind of old news, I don't really check back on a regular basis. But if I do go back, even if it's been a while, I acknowledge posters with a

I don't know, if I start a thread then I guess I feel like I can "gum it up" anyway I choose. But that's just me.

I always go back and read, but it didn't occur to me I should acknowledge responses unless I asked a question. I need to remember to respond so people know their thoughts are always appreciated.
I do think many posters just want to cause trouble and enjoy people getting upset.

@Shanus , This bit of netiquette refers to entire posts written in caps, which some posters do regularly. (Not you, obviously.)
Whenever this subject is discussed here, posters frequently state they're aware of this point in netiquette, but consider themselves exempt.

@x Hedge OK, gotcha. Thanks.

In the beginning I do, but after a few days I forget, unless I'm tagged.
Once the thread falls to the bottom of the page or the next page, I wouldn't necessarily know people are still discussing it.
