In large lock and lock containers.  I never have more than a 5 lb bag of each.  Salt is in the original containers with shakers filled.  Brown sugar in a lock & lock bowl with a piece of bread.  Never, ever hard.  I don’t bake a lot so I might only use 2 bags of flour a year (maybe). Sugar even less.
