I had one and gave it to my DDIL.   It was just too loud for me.  I got a Ninja Nutri and use it every morning for my smoothie.

LOL, they are loud,  rey loud, like an airplane taking off in your kitchen loud.  I don't know whether this one is quieter or they have put sound absorbing material on the counters.  But mine is very loud, but oh it works so well.  I don't make soup the way they show.  Yesterday i roasted butternut squash and onions then put batches in the  itamix with chicken broth. Then seasoned.  Yum.   But at least mine has always been loud.  Starbucks has plastic boxes that they use when they are making a cold drink.

I've had my vitamix for a few years. I go in spurts with it but it is DEFINITELY worth the price. You'll never need to buy another. I've also gifted 2 of my kids with one and they love them also. It does exactly as they show no exaggeration.

Mine moved from the countertop to the pantry a couple of years ago.  It was purchased when my husband and son were in a smoothie stage and was used every day for a couple of years.  They got over it, and I prefer to actually chew my vegetables - I'm not much for smoothies.  So now it sits unused most of the time.

My counter space is used for Keurig Mini, toaster, Kitchenaid mixer and a beautiful Greenpan electric skillet/pot that @SharkE enabled me into buying.  I use it constantly.  But I would not replace the Vitamix if it broke.

Appliances ARE NOT "investments"; never have been and never will be.  Don't make that mistake.
