I heard Jayne Brown say she uses her Vitamix every day. If you have one, how often do you use it? I am trying to decide if it would be a good investment.

Not daily, but I make a lot of smoothies so I use it often!

We use ours every week, maybe 4 days a week. From smoothies to sauces, soups, nut butters. I also use it when I can tomato sauce. We also have the “make your own flour “ container . We cook and bake from scratch so it gets used frequently.

@RetRN   I'm always fascinated by the Vitamix presentations both on TV and right in front of me at local shops, but when I imagine giving space to one in my small kitchen, I realize that I just would not use it often enough to give it counter space and I know every year I use appliances not on my counter less and less.

I don't doubt that in some houses, a Vitamix would get lots of use, but my life would have to undergo a drastic change for that to be true for me.

I use mine daily. I have a meal replacement shake nightly and it keeps my fussy tummy happy during the night. Not sure how old mine is and I know I should venture out and use it for more than the protein shakes. Mine probably should be replaced, it gets sluggish sometimes; will definitely replace with another Vitamix when the time comes.

I used mine nearly everyday too--been kind of lazy lately so haven't used it as often----usually for smoothies--  but for other things as well. ground up almonds for  almond milk with it, ground up oats for oat flour and other flours, made p-nut butter,  bread for crumbs, to puree out chunky stuff for soups--have not made soup in it tho--I have a smaller size canister so I use that alot.Had my moms all stainless steel one that she bought in the 80's until about 7 years ago when I bought a new one. It makes fantastic margaritas too!!! the one I have now isn't the big one  the TSV is  today--it is in the champagne color which I love, but that pink color just makes me happy!!

The appliances you will use depend on what you eat.

Vitamix--my husband says if it dies get another!  We use it for soup, cutting up things like slaw sometimes, smoothies, gazpacho, and blending smoothie type banana and milk for ice "cream" in the Cuisinart Ice Cream maker.

We never use the air fryer, we aren't big on fried foods.

We use the instant pot (mostly the 3 qt. one) frequently for sweet potatos, eggs, chicken breasts, quick chili, etc.

Zojirushi Rice cooker, frequently for rice, quinoa, steel cut oats, other grains.

Zojirushi Bread Maker (usually the 1 lb one) twice weekly at least.

Zojirushi Water Boiler several times a day for tea

Kitchen Aid Mixer--sits in the garage because we almost never make cakes, cookies, etc. now.

Nespresso for espresso and coffee--many times daily

Cuisinart Yogurt Maker we use a lot because home made yogurt is SOOOO much better!.

That's about it!

@RetRN   I use mine several times each week.  I keep it out on my counter so it is in easy reach.  I use it much more than the Oster blender it replaced since it truly has much more power and versatility.

I use it to chop (using the pulse feature) for onions, home made coleslaw, relishes--including cranberry, salad dressing.

I use it to puree mixtures like creamed soup, sauces, and gravies.  I pulse chop or puree whole canned tomatoes for my spaghetti sauce, depending on the texture I need for a particular recipe.

I can produce a fresh ingredients salsa or dip in a few minutes with my preferred texture.

I use it to make a blender version of Bearnaise sauce from a Joy of Cooking cookbook recipe. I have the container for flour and making nut butters.

I don't make as many smoothies as others do but it is great to have handy when I do want one--ready in seconds.  It is lovely for mixed alcoholic and virgin beverages--like margaritas, and it turns ice cubes into "snow" for adults and kids alike.

My son and daughter-in-law use the one I gave to them as a gift eight or so years ago almost every day.  She makes a smoothie each morning for herself and the two year old grandson.

Hope this helps.

If you cook everyday or follow a prep routine, like I do, you'll find uses for it.  I make smoothies, nice cream (vegan ice cream), vegan cheez sauce, purees for soup, shred block cheese, oat milk.

I haven't watched the presentation.  I bought mine also from QVC.  It included the both the wet and dry containers and the tamper.  I bought the scraper tool, as a separate puerchase and I am glad I did.  It is shaped to fit the containers.

Back when we were into smoothies we used it often.  I don't use it that much these days, but I'm sure glad I have it when I need it.
