He's off for the Holidays so what's wrong with that?

DH gets 7 weeks vacation a year so I guess you could say he's off too much.

@SharkE No. He works at the Air Force Base as Assistant Mgr in fuels refueling the jets. He's the only Union employee that has a management position. LOL!!!

They tried to get him to get out of the Union but he said No Way but that was not his words. Management comes & goes with new contracts. He also has better benefits then his boss.

He has kept his job there for 42 yrs.

Mary mentioned many, many times that "David is on   a well-deserved vacation" so they must be aware of all the comments.  She also said "annual" vacation, but we know he also takes other vacations which is his business.  He has been there many years and I am sure he gets a lot of vacation days and also many places you can take days off without pay if you so choose.  Either way it is okay with QVC so not our concern.  Also, I enjoy a rotation of hosts and Jill did a great job.  MaryBeth does too.  Mary's show is almost the same as David's, so I like to see someone else sub. for David.   Years ago Rick and Lisa R. were the top selling hosts.  I would guess now it is Rick and David.  (Look at how many air fryers, Temptations and Copper Chef items have been sold on his shows plus all the other brands/items.)

Does this man ever work ? He seems to be on vacation almost every month. I don't recall Bob Bowesox missing this many episodes.  Really wish they would go back to using Bob in the kitchen.

The following lyrics come to mind....."So this is Christmas....WHAT HAVE YOU DONE ?"

Your claim to fame, your legacy is pondering a complete stranger's

vacation time ? How small your (and like thinker's) world must be.

@SharkE It has been a good job. He started working there when he was 20.

I don't want him at home all day either. We would also kill each other. LOL!!!

I don't know if I'm looking forward to his retirement or not. I wanted him to retire next year but he says he'e working until at least 67??? I want to move.

His dad just passed away & his mom will be 88 on the 20th so he wants to stay here to take care of her. I knew this was coming. I told him he would not want to move after he's 67. I'm not very happy about the whole situation.

Sounds like a situation, alright. Worse kind. NIce of him to want to stay around for his mother. I think time will take care of it.  He'll be more

amendable to moving later.

Hope, it works out !

@SharkE I think her health is pretty good. I don't know how she will deal with the loss of her husband. I can see her being around until 100. Her sister also lost her husband 4 days after my MIL did. DH told her to move to Ga to live with her sister. She said she does not want to live with her because she needs a lot of help.
