David & Ina Garten (spell?) love Rao's. It's expensive, most Italians homemade sauce is very simple back in my younger days made homemade sometimes added in a jar too I still make homemade meatballs my Italian husband hates frozen meatballs. I don't like sweet sauce I like Kroger tomato basil add in garlic powder or onion powder sometimes. Just two of us so I don't do all the homemade sauce. It's your prefrence but to make a sauce is so simple now if you want gravy that is meatballs, sausage & pork which is Sunday gravy. I stopped doing that too. LOL

All my life I prided myself on my "from-scratch" cooking.  I loved the compliments(I was a Stay-at-home wife and Mommy) and cooking was a creative outlet.  The thought of using a jarred sauce never crossed my mind.

Fast forward 48 years and DH has been eating my cooking for some years so he's no longer impressed or overwhelmed by my culinary prowess.  We entertain only occasionally.  For the 2 of us, at our age, simple, easy to prepare meals are in order.  Rao's sauces are delicious and fit into our retirement routine. We've tried others, this is the only one I buy now.

I love Rao's especially their Italian sausage version.  As it's just me, if I catch a good sale I can have many delicious meals from a single jar.

Thanks to everyone for their experiences with Victorias.  I'm intrigued, I'll have to watch for a sale and give it a try!
