Thanks everyone.  It seems there are a lot more positives than negatives.  I think I will give it a try.

@novamc1  I buy Raos when on sale and stock up. What I like is that there are not many ingredients and I can pronounce them all and know what they are. Whole peeled tomatoes, olive oil, onions, salt, garlic, basil, pepper.

I used to always buy Ragu and was happy with it until I found this one. Just like everyone has their own recipe for homemade sauce.

ITA with most everyone.  I also switched from Ragu (which I love) but it's the sugar grams!   I really like the Rao marinara sauce.  I've also tried the alfredo and have to say, I think it's the best jarred alfredo sauce I've ever tried.  I did have the tomato soup and I liked that too.  I always keep jars of Rao sauce in my pantry.

Always made my own sauce, but recently I read very good reviews for VINCENT'S TOMATO SAUCES that come in mild, medium and hot.  Most of the time I like the mild and can use it right from the jar.  Don't have to doctor it up.  The hot was way too hot for me.  Vincent's by the way is an Italian restaurant popular here in NY and LI and the sauce is what they use in their restaurants.  I've tried other brands such as Rao's and Michael's of Brooklyn (very expensive).  I didn't care for either one.

Rao's is the best jarred sauce I've used.  So now it's the only jarred sauce I'll use

When it comes to jars of alfredo sauce, I've never tried one and never will.

Something about preserved, shelf-stable dairy products turns me off.

I buy the refrigerated RANA or Buitoni  alfredo  or quickly mix my own with heavy cream, some spices and herbs, and Parmesan.

Would love to see some taste testers trying a jar of Alfredo (by any brand) and a fresh home-made Alfredo with cream and Parmesan.

I'm only guessing that psychologically, I'd prefer the non-jar, refrigerated type..

You wouldn't find a jarred sauce in my pantry ever.

My granny would smack me silly!

If it wasn't my own, I wouldn't eat it. Period.

UNTIL, I ran short of sauce needed to make Chix Parm for a family in need.  No time to make mine since it takes most of the day.

SO, to Weg I go and on DV say so, I tried it.

I was absolutly shocked and so pleased with how delicious it is.

I didn't need to doctor it up at all.

So now it is my own or Rao ONLY!

PS:  I have 4 jars in the pantry now.  PLEASE don't tell Granny!  LOL

Yes, it is more costly, but I wouldn't buy anything else.

Victoria's is not avail in our area.

I use it and think it is very good--but pricey--where I live, it is $7 a jar--I wait til it is around $5 on sale and stock up--just tried the arrabiatta that was so good but very spicy--have a jar of toms and basil in my pantry. If I had as good  recipe for red sauce, I would make my own------

I tried it once after hearing here how good it was. I caught it on sale & had a coupon.

Honestly, it was good but it didn't knock my socks off. I wouldn't pay 8 bucks a jar for it. I've had other brands that were just as good & much cheaper.
