@NicksmomESQ  When I got my PC/slow cooker, I gave my large crockpot to a friend to free some real estate in my pantry.  The PC fills that niche very nicely.

Yes, the newer ones have a slow cooker function.  Be sure and get one with that feature.  You also want the sear function so you can brown meat before pressure cooking.  You used to have to do it in a separate pan on the stove.

@NicksmomESQ  See the functions on this dial.  Slow cooker is in the 8 o'clock position.  The cooker that slow cooks also come with a glass lid.  They usually have a PC TSV in the fall and last year they had gorgeous colors including my favorite turquoise.

Re: Pressure Cooker Advice Please!!

I have a six qt and it's really too big for me now. I'd love the smaller 4 qt or even smaller. I doubt there would be enough people wanting a mini pressure cooker but me, so fat chance they will ever produce one.

Problem is, mine still works like a charm. Seems these things never die...LOL

I just can't justify putting money out for the 4 qt.

If all I ever did was steam eggs in mine it would be worth it. Talk about fast and easy to peel! 6 minutes once it goes to pressure. Love it!

I love my perfect cooker and it's much easier to handle so I now make dishes in that. Trouble is I've tried both boiling and steaming eggs in it and they do not peel well at all.  Love it though for its small capacity.

You could prepare a meal what you do not eat store it in the freezer for another day.  Saves time and money.

Re: Pressure Cooker Advice Please!!

Whenever I freeze food I forget it's in there or just don't want it again.

I just don't enjoy making big batches of food anymore.

I use my little cooker now and still have enough for a few more meals. Sometimes I give some to my sister. There are things we both like that she won't bother making since her hubby won't touch it.

I never thought I'd see the day when this little cooker was more than enough for me.

I've been on a weight loss program since January. I've lost 37 pounds so far and am enjoying practicing portion control.

Never going back to my old eating habits. I want to feel healthy again.
