DD had to pick up her sewing machine from a shop in another town last evening.

She reminded me there is a Panera there so she brought me some cheddar broccoli soup. She said I got you two cinnamon crunch bagels, I thought you might like them. She got honey walnut cream cheese to go with them.

Oh my!  They are good. They don't look like a traditional bagel and they have a crunchy top.

I'm glad there is not a Panera in the town where she works. It would be way too convenient for these bagels....and the soup.

Do you like Panera?

@CrazyKittyLvr2 I only have experience with their catering, and I like them for that. We ordered sandwiches and salads for my grandson's 1st birthday. They did a great job with labeling the sandwiches and wrapping them up. Everyone loved the food. The party was across the state, so I couldn't make a spread myself. This was a great alternative and reasonably priced.

I do like Panera. Not much of a meat eater so there's many choices for me. I started going to Panera when a study group met there before class and it's fun to meet friends there. You can sit for a while. If they had specilty coffees I'd be there a lot. Hubs loves their salads and pasta/rice bowls. Their flat beds are a treat. I could walk to the one close to my neighborhood. New, First Watch restaurant opened half mile from home. Good menu there, too.

OMG, the Cinnamon Crunch bagels are my favorite.  I haven't had those in years.  They are the best with the honey walnut cream cheese.

Your daughter did well, those sound like yummy choices!  And yes, love Panera. Haven't been for a long time but have had the french onion soup in bread bowl, asian chicken salad, roast beef sandwiches and the sliced asiago cheese loaves.

@CrazyKittyLvr2 I love Panera! When I was working they built a new Panera with a drive through window, not good for me.  In the morning I would get the cinnamon crunch or asiago cheese bagel with a large hazelnut coffee, heavenly.  Would purchase a couple of the asiago cheese bagels for sandwiches.  Love the soups the broccoli cheese and in the fall the squash soups.  Coming in the summer are their salads with chicken, strawberries, blueberries, pineapple and nuts.  They have a poppy seed dressing with the salad that is Yummy.

Oh you have me wanting some Panera now!!

I used to meet my friends about once a month at a Panera. This was before Covid when we could eat inside.

I would order the Greek Salad. It never was the same, each time I ordered it. It became a joke after awhile. What would be on my salad or not on my salad. If you look up Greek Salad under their menu, it is a rather simple salad.

So as a change one time I odered a turkey sandwich. It had dressing on a small portion of half of the sandwich. Most of the sandwich was turkey and bread. So back to the Greek Salad.

I miss our local Panera.  It was destroyed in a tornada 2 1/2 years ago - they've rebuilt and should be opening in the near future.  New one will have a drive through window - so looking forward to that.  Love their asiago cheese bagels!  I like that they have healthy options as well.  Panera was a favorite spot to gather with high school friends - we would have dinner, sit and chat comfortably and weren't worried about taking up a table and costing a waitress her tips for the evening!  Can't wait to be able to do that again.

If you like the Cheddar Broccoli Soup you will love the COPYCAT recipe of Panera's Cheddar Broccoli Soup, that recipe exceeds the taste of the soup you had last night.

Usually copycat recipes are not as good, this one is better.

Takes some time but well worth it.  I made the one from Food dot com but there are others.   Anyone who makes it, use the "stock" and not broth, make sure you cook out the flour taste and not shorten that step, I microwaved my carrots before I added to the soup and don't forget the milk addition because that ingrediant appears way at the bottom of the recipe.

Just delicious and a whole lot better than Panera's if you can believe that.

Allrecipes has celery added to their copycat recipe and I don't remember tasting any kind of celery in the original.

Love the sandwiches, cinnamon rolls, bagels, brownies, coffee and I can't think of anything that's not good there.

@CrazyKittyLvr2 - I LOVE Panera! We have one near us, and before we all went into quarantine, I could always find one on my "travels."

I almost always get the Pick 2 - soup and salad. One of my favorite things is the 10-vegetable soup. I've had every one of the salads-  favorites are Green Goddess Cobb and Fuji Apple. Anything I've had from the bakery has been so tasty.   Smiley Happy
