Re: OK Everyone - What's Cooking for this November 2018?

[ Edited ]

This is one for the books!  I thawed pea soup for DH to eat last night.  He said there was only enough for a meal, and I told him no way, There is always get enough for both of us to eat.  He said he put water in it, too thick, and I told him no way, it was too watery, if anything.  Even if I had thought to check the frig then, he had already eaten most and was just finishing up.  This is what happens when I let him into the kitchen.  The color was brown, not green as pea soup is.  Maybe he is now color blind, lol.

I was just looking for the leftover turkey gravy, couldn't find it, but did find the pea soup.  He ate the entire contaner of gravy, basically fat, for dinner last night, unbelievable!

It's a good thing I made a lot and froze three containers, but what he ate was a huge container.  I always said he didn't have taste buds, now I know it, lol.  There was enough gravy in the container for many meals, and had planned to freeze whatever was left after a few more meals, that won't happen.

Hello everyone! Always good to see all of you but still miss some of the oldsters - they were so great and had so much to offer. But then everyone does.  Especially miss Shirley who started this thread and Bev - both are doing fine but have other paths to walk down now. It happens does it not?

Really cold here today but I know others are having it a lot colder.

Just came back from an early dinner with Gaye - we use to eat out about twice a month but her health, my health and having the little ones here for almost 3 years has not been conducive to going out and causing trouble. LOL. Had a super good time!!

Hope all are doing great and getting ready for Christmas - it will be upon us before we know it.

Reading about your husband eating gravhg for pea soup was too, too funny.  My sides are still hurting.., it's not often that I get to have such a side-splitting laugh! Thanks!!!

My house smells like spaghetti sauce.   Got up early to let it simmer all day.   Teacher daughter got home just as the noodles were done.   Cooked the garlic toast in the air fryer for 6 minutes and then we ate!

Red Top, nothing smells bettter than spaghetti cooking! Yes indeed.

Figured out what my last bout of not feeling good was - food poisoning. Deviled eggs. I ate a ton of them and so did Davey' s Dad and Lola - both of them wound up at the hospital.. The eggs were devoured so am guessing that was it. Never had that happen before. He said he thought something was wrong with them when he was cooking them so why did he not tell me then and certainly when he and his daughter went to the hospital. Some people?!

A bit chilly this morning but not bitter cold at all. Heavy rains are expcted tomorrow and possibly Thursday also. We shall see.

Not feeling well eating has been at a minimum. Have been trying to get water aand crackers in me and actually ate some stew last night had frozen some months back. Now it was super good. Yummy.

Hope all have a great day.

My keyboard is sticking like crazy - driving me insane for some time now so something obviously was spilled on it. Hmn Little ghosts?
