just finished cleaning up - been at it on and off all day

made spiced mixed nuts and candied pecans

2 batches of florentines

1 cranberry almond biscotti. 

these are for friends I'm meeting next week

dough is done, reads to be baked next weekend and will be given out Christmas

No baking today, but I did finish wrapping the batch of caramels I made last night! They are worth the effort, but it is definitely time consuming to get them all cut and wrapped and packaged.

Tried it, but, all I found was how to subscribe LOL  Did find one that came from Taste of Home that was comparable.

I'll try to find the one from Taste of the South Monday when we go out

I'll have to go back and buy another magazine or find a place in a store to where I can copy it out. Sounded like a good recipe.

I can usually tell if a roll recipe is gonna be good or not and this one sounded like it had good ingredients and was for smaller families.

Instead of writing it down, take a picture of the recipe with your phone camera.  I've done that a couple of times while reading cookbooks at Costco.

It was cookie baking day!!!  We made traditional to specialty italian cookies -- we had a fun time and of course, everyone had to sample!  

Just a sampling:

after baking yummy cookies -- had tomato pie S. Philly style and finished the day with homemade ice cream!

I'll be baking again when I get back home next week.  My friends have already started asking where their goodies are!

yes i did mean italian s cookies but there are no pinenuts bt they have a lemon flavor and they get a glaze after baking and sprinkles on them. i can give you recipe if you want it.
