Is anyone baking today?

I just took a cheddar biscuit loaf out of the oven.  Recipe is in the current issue of Southern Lady.  (I'm so glad they sell this magazine in my area of northern California.  Everybody loves Southern cooking.)

It looks kind of like this and smells SO good.

This is the issue with the recipe.

I am also on the verge of remaking the cardamom cake that was a disaster the other day.  Fingers crossed.

It looks delicious~ you're making me hungry! I didn't bake but I made my second batch of pierogis today for our Christmas and Christmas Eve dinners.  Of course hubby and I will have to "sample" some for dinner tonight.  Just to make sure they are up to standards. Smiley WinkSmiley Wink

Pierogis, now that's ambitious !  We have a Ukrainian church nearby, and a couple of times a year, the members make pierogis to sell. They are wonderful !

I baked 10 different kinds of cookies this past week and a couple of batches of fudge.  Tonight, I am making one more batch..this time molasses cookies and then two batches of sugared pecans.

Tomorrow, I will make Kiefels.  They take hours, usually all day, because the they are made with yeast dough and the recipe makes a lot of them.  You have to roll out each cookie and spread with a walnut mixture then re-roll.

Next week, I plan on making pumpkin rolls...some for Christmas and some to freeze for later.

It has been raining almost everyday.  I need a non humid day to make my clear toy candy.    hopefully, the rain will stop soon.  Then....I am done.

If you hear someone sneaking down your chimney tonight after you go asleep, it'll be me emptying your cookie jar.

I'm sad I lost my Taste of the South roll recipe  I had planned to make today. Just bought the magazine Mon. and threw away a recipe, one I made last week that was no good. I found this one in the Jan./Feb 2020 edition of Tast of the South and now it's gone !

I'll have to go back and buy another magazine or find a place in a store to where I can copy it out. Sounded like a good recipe.

I can usually tell if a roll recipe is gonna be good or not and this one sounded like it had good ingredients and was for smaller families.

Shoot ! No rolls today LOL
