I absolutely LOVE my Nuwave PIC and I am going to get this newer one also. This heats immediately and I get wonderful results with my stainless. It will be nice to have two for the holiday. I also have purchased some a la carte Ming cookware (Induction Ready Pieces) and they are fantastic!!!! I swear nothing sticks to these. I am going to try the Ming wok. I like the idea you can fry at such a high temp. We will see.

I now only look for cookware the says induction ready but most of mine is SS or cast iron so I don't have any problems;

Thank you for mentioning the disk. I wasn't aware there was such a product. I have an older model of the Nu Wave and only about half my cookware works on it.

I currently have two Burton Interface Discs. They work on ANY induction cooking surface, and quite well. I use for catering and parties when I want to cook and serve in the same container. They work well for Corning cookware.

Forrestwolf: Hello. You are not crazy. Yes, I use my refrigerator magnet for this test. I was so tempted to get the Ming induction cooking plate, but resisted. It certainly was a good price. I'm a "sucker" for kitchen items.

LOL, you are not crazy. I have some small chip clips with magnets and silly small magnetic calendar things I get from real estate people.

Now, if you carry them in your purse to check something at the store, just be careful you don't get them near your credit cards, etc...like room keys if you're staying at a hotel/motel. Don't ask me how I know that. {#emotions_dlg.lol}
