@Kachina624  You should try these. They have just a little bit of heat. They are so addictive that they are hard to find around here. Make sure to look for the bread and butter pickles, They also make jalapeno slices and the jar looks the same. The pickles are wonderful.(Sweet Heat)

Amazon's price every time I check is $12.95 per jar. I am finding in the grocery stores I am paying $3.50-$4.50.  Sometimes I drive out to less crowded areas and grab a few. My goal is to have a case to get me through winter or maybe 2. LOL.Woman Very Happy

@tiny 2 Ok now we are officially the "Pickle Patrol"!  On the search for pickles we love.  Our motto can be "We'll buy a case if the price is good!!!!!"

@tiny 2 Right now you can get Sam's Spicy Maple Bourbon Pickles for less than $4 a jar at Walmarts around here and online.  If you haven't had them, I'll bet you are going to love them!

@Tinkrbl44    I didn't know pickled beets were sold in cans.  What brand are they.  My Mama used to make pickled beets.  We had a garden and always had plenty of beets.  They were so good.  Thanks.

Look for beets with the other canned vegetables.  There are both generic and brand name pickled beets, and come in both jars and cans.

I love sautéed organic long green beans!  Garlic, pepper, I don't use salt and they are perfect warm or cold next day. High in potassium.  My grandkids like snaking on them as well

I found them. They are in my cart. I'm traveling at the moment but will be back home soon for a month then gone again.

Re: Good For You Side Dishes

Due to trying to do low carb again I have rediscovered spaghetti squash. It blends nicely with many recipes as a sub for pasta. I like it as a side with just salt and butter.

One recipe in a low carb book gave me the fastest way to fix. Wash (of course),stab several times (so it will not 'splode') nuke for 10 -15 minutes. Cool, half, remove seeds, enjoy.
